Got the trans back in and the manifold on. Went to mount the turbo and found I need some different nuts for 2 of the studs. Current task list: Turbo, IC pipes, shield master cylinder, front air dam and under tray, downpipe, exhaust, heat shield, COP's, fluids, MS tuning. Not really a whole lot left but just a bunch of little things.

My dad stopped over to help me out this weekend. Got done a lot of stuff that I didn't want to do and had no motivation to finish, such as the oil pan drilling, spacer drilling, and notching of the frame rail. Coolant reroute is done and in place, just need to wrap the heater hoses with insulation. Drilled the spacer for my water temp gauges (dash and autometer) and placed the senders in there. I will try and do the heater hoses today along with the manifold, turbo, and intercooler & pipes install.
Recently a fire has been lit under me in the form of a job offer in another state so I need to get on it and finish up my project so I can get it moved up there easier. Also means I need to clean up the 96 and the volks to sell ASAP as well. The next 6 weeks are going to be crazy busy finishing up everything and selling off a bunch of crap I don't want to take with me.

I've got most of everything on, I just need to tighten up a few things and put in some fluids, then dial in the megasquirt. Goal is to have it running by the end of the week and hopefully not be fighting any gremlins. I feel like I got lucky on the 96 without any issues once I did all the work and put it all back together without issues. Hopefully lightning can strike twice.
I'm moving in about a week and a half so it's kind of down to the wire...

I never updated this. The 96 is sold now, and the car is mostly finished and drivable now. It still needs the COP's wired in, the coolant flushed, and some ducting done though. And some real dyno tuning. Unfortunately, I've moved to a place where I can't work on the car, and that really sucks. Track days are going to be slowed to a screeching halt which is probably good for time being so I can save up some money for a house or whatever else may be coming.
Ugh. Growing up sucks.
