Everytime I put the clutch in the basket and put my ZIP Code in, shipping was only 21,45$, thought that can not be to Germany for a heavy clutch and it was some ZIP code in the states calculated. Well, now I know I can buy some cool stuff from you.

EDIT: Shipping is 126$ to Germany and taxes will be payed for shipping, too. That's 465$ plus taxes, not an option for me :( Nice option in the US non the less

Find a forwarding warehouse with good rates to Germany, Shipito is an example, you can calculate approx weight.
It's how I ship almost all my orders from the US.

Good tip! Shipping is approx. 71$, so a good bit cheaper. But that's not a way to bypass taxes, right :giggle:?

All the goodies you need for a decent job: 2 x Amsoil MTG, 1x Amsoil Severe Gear (not so easy to get here, but easier than the Ford stuff), refreshed 6 Speed with cleaned/lubed/bushed shifter assembly, front/rear seals, new shift boots, 3.6 Torsen with new seals
and the BOFI Racing Twin Friction Clutch.

So, my old 5 Speed was making some strange noises after cranking up the boost to 18psi and besides that, it was always very loud inside, because both shifter boots were totally ripped apart and a lot of hot air could be felt in the shifter/center console area.
Even the parking brake lever was hot as hell from all the heat transfered into the cabin. IL Motorsport saved my day with a brand new set of shift boots at a very good price point.

My rear main seal was leaking, because I cheaped out on it and didn't buy an OEM one.

I paid the price twice, as I fucked up installing the first OEM seal. Went too deep after one good tap and the only option was the "screw and pull" method :facepalm: Very easy way to burn 51€.
Even my dude at mazda said, these things are too expensive to **** up. Well, I drove home with the E46 of a buddy and called it a day.
My CC Clutch Stage 4 went pretty deep into my stock flywheel after only 600 miles and I used my time wisely by bringing it to my machine shop of trust while waiting for the new RMS. They did good!

Two days later, the new RMS was in and the typical steps of doing a clutch job were done, I was in a hurry and only shot one picture with the pressure plate mounted::

Put in all new fluids and washers and drove 40 miles home.

I immediately noticed the smoother engagement of the clutch, when backing out of the shop. It's even a little bit uphill, but the clutch was smooth. Need to do a proper PPF adjustment, I was home pretty late, no time for this stuff.

Hopefully the weather is better the upcoming weeks and I can put the new turbo on and try out all this new stuff. The six speed feels okay, not as nice as my 5 speed, but I was warned. 4th to 5th really is a little bit vague.
Maybe stiffer engine mounts will help a little bit, right now it's on mazda comp mounts. Diff mounts are poly. 3.63 gearing is awesome! Changed the mechanical speed sensor for proper calibrated speedo, too!

Replace that amsoil garbage and put ford motorcraft. That should improve your shifting feel.

It's not, that it isn't smooth or anything, but it's not as "crisp", not as a "mechanical process" as the 5 speed was, hard to explain. I'll try it out 2 or 3 times, when I have a chance. I couldn't drive hard on my way home.

Can you buy the Motorcraft from any Ford dealer? Can't find anything in the country on the web, but maybe I searched for the wrong stuff

Even Savington recommended the Amsoil fluids and sold them. People seem to be very pleased with it, just as they are with the motorcraft, that's why I bought the Amsoil AND because I could get it locally from a reputable shop.

I'll copy this from my review of the BOFI Racing Clutch in the other thread, just for reference:

We finally have better weather here in middle Europe and I managed to put around 200 miles on the clutch.

First: Make sure to put a little bit of grease on the contact area between the slave cylinder and shift fork, when doing a clutch job. I forgot it and had a very annoying whistle at pretty much any speed. Fixed that, much better.

Driveability: Backing off needs just a little bit more revs to be super smooth, you can tell it's a clutch, that can handle the power. You can't back off at 1200rpm and dump the clutch, but at say 2000rpm everything is fine.
When moving forward in first gear after a stop, the clutch behaves very nicely, no judder at all, but you can feel that there is a 6 puck in there. Not in a bad way, no no, but you can feel whats going on inside. Hard to explain,
I think you just have to try it out. Some people maybe wouldn't even notice, I don't know.

What I also really like about this clutch, is that it's very consistent in operation, the grabbing point is absolutely solid and never moves a bit.

Clamping power (I will update, when my new turbo is on, now it's my 2560R at full tilt):
We had cold weather yesterday and the car spun 3rd gear with a long 3.6 torsen rear end. I couldn't get it to slip once, feels very good.
I'm at ~280tq at the wheels and I tried to get it to slip in 6th at 18-19psi on an uphill, no problems at all.

Overall I really enjoy driving the car again and was smiling the whole day. A good and driveable clutch is on top of the list for my next high power car, whatever that is.

Since you're in Europe, I can highly recommend Castrol Syntrans 75w90 GL-4 for the six speed next time you need transmission fluid. Should be easier to source than Amsoil or Motorcraft. Night and day difference from the Motul Gear 300 I used before.

I thought about going to the Motul 300, but I'm glad I'm using the Amsoil.

The shifting feel actually is very good, but I don't like the 4th to 5th shift on the 6 speed, can't slam it into 5th like the 5speed could. Just tilt your hand and slam it in a somewhat 45° angle -
not possible with the 6 speed and stock shifter. I mean, with longer gearing I don't need to RAM IT into 5th... I shift just a little bit slower, but it was so fun with the 5speed.

When I'm on back roads, I use 3rd and 4th pretty much all the time

Please learn from my mistakes:

Don't cheap out on fuel lines. Like NEVER EVER... I bought some random high pressure fuel hose and it turned out to be ****.
Wasn't even the cheapest stuff I found online, but holy moly, both hoses (1000 miles "old") cracked and were brittle that it nearly put my car on fire.

Accidently pulled on the wrong fuel hose near the intake manifold to cut a leaky piece where the clamp sits on the OTHER hose at the hardline, because they overlap stupidly. Cut the piece from the known bad one, put a clamp on it, started the car and the other hose (the one I accidently pulled) SPRAYED fuel up to my intercooler piping and all over the side of the engine. Immediately bought some high quality fuel hose from my dealer of trust.
No leaks anymore and what a difference in quality... That's never going to happen again! Fitting these hoses with the fuel rail in place is a pain the ***, took me about an hour to replace both lines :facepalm:

New wheels and tires: Japan Racing JR7 in 15x8 +35 with 205/50/15 Federal 595RS-Pro. Before it was 195/50/15 Federal 595RS-R (DOT 2013) on stock NB rims.
WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Had to go for a drive ASAP and it's night and day. Running 29psi all around for now and handling feels amazing, turn in is amazing, comfort is better than before, they are quieter at every speed (no wonder) and even cold dry grip is very good! Traction is better, too :) Now it hooks most of the time in 2nd gear, when the road is good, can't get it to slip in third. I already love it, best mod for sure with the turbo kit.

I think the JR7 are basically König Wide Opens with 10mm more offset, which is nice. Weight is the same: ~6,3kg (14lbs). They are very nice made and a good road legal option here in Europe.

Sadly no time for the GTX2860R last weekend, too much cars need attention right now (dads Z4, our Z4 after an accident, E36 320i convertible we bought to sell it after a makeover).

Speaking of Z4, our 3.0i got a new paint job and facelift front, now I have to change the driverside headlight (already here) and finish it up, color is "A08Silbergrau" (Silver-Grey).

Went for another drive, also with my dad and let him drive again. He also said, that the car seems a little bit more "refined", don't know how to say it better in english. More comfy, better ride quality overall.

Your car is looking awesome on the new wheels! I run 205/45/R16 (NB2 stock 'sport' wheels) on a 6.5J and there's way too much lateral 'slop' in the tyre sidewall. I need some 15x8 action in my life.

haha I don't know about that, there are no redundancies! wouldn't last 5 minutes at NASA.

That said I am a fan of the driver's side mounting. Doesn't get in the way at all and it's waaaay easier/quicker to access when things go tits up.

When I think about it, you're right. The passenger might want do lay down something in that area or wants the extra room for the legs to move around a bit. As the driver, you never get to do that.
