Put .001 miles on the motor yesterday taking it from the kitchen to the garage.
Slapped that 5 speed, with lots of alignment overcheck to the pilot bearing, only to confirm I goofed. You need to reuse the Miata flex plate/gasket thing to hold the dipstick. Quite an oversight, glad Tonymontana had a pic detailing this, and the two bolt starter connection, this had me very confused glad I was able to reference his very detailed thread.
Stage 2 Kmiata half shaft /axle kit showed up just waiting on the V8 roadster weld in brackets and brace.

Well. The motros in but on hold.
Differential is in and the rear ends back together.

Turbo - somewhere being built
S2 Throttle Body - NotFab on Backorder or something for a month+
Blackbirdfab Spoiler - few weeks out.
TSE oil feed adaptor - shipped

Fuel: Still need to decide on a injector size. Likely goin to be ID1700, scrub the complexity with flex fuel wiring/sensors there's E85 all around me.

Guess its time for whatever wiring / plumbing in the interim.

7 Week lead time on the turbo.....anybody else know where I can source a 6758 EWG V Band faster than that.
Yet again the S2 Throttle Body has been on order for 4 weeks now...
First AutoX of the season the 22nd, what a pipe dream.

Started the fuel rail / regulator / line install. Going for the semi cleanish look. Keep all the hoses towards the back of the bay. Need a few more 90s for a cleanish install. Skeptical on the Hard line ANs, Jegs says 55PSI max. That may be an issue, would definitely limit me to the ID1700s to keep rail pressure low....which would then make the Toyota COP the limiting factor....where does it end.

Hood vents are in and look great. About ready to start drilling the brace for the BMW trans mount, going to need to overcheck the alignment and angle again something feels off about the throw from neutral to fifth, its about half as long as neutral to first but maybe thats normal.
Then ill be back there on hold again.
Fabuoulso9 still has that prestige world wide backorder on the S2 throttle bodys.
Turbo should be here in a week or so. Yay.
Ive been slacking on a injector order ID1700s are a chunk...been waiting to see if one pops up in the FS threads.

more aero nonsense. Install was pretty straightforward, definitely pay attention to the torquing order. Would have loved to do a A2B comparison when the car was running ran out of parts to install and didn't want to lose a weekend.
Turbo should be here this week.....finally.
No word on the fabulous S2 TB, ordered in February, sad panda.

I have no idea whats up with Borg Warner but ive been waiting on the turbo since March, keep getting some "production issues" generic email.
Much disappoint, at least the throttle body is here, cut the throttle body warmer lines off because they did not clear the alternator bracket.

Settled on the ID1300, Wal450 for Fuel needs.

Still no turbo, asked for a refund from Full race so I can get an eFr from another supplier who appears to have them in stock.
Got this vibrant intercooler for a steal. Now to fit it.

Well, good news the turbo arrived. It says on the nameplate its a .64AR-WG so I guess borg just used a super core off a one they had in stock and then slapped the .85 turbine housing on it.
of all the tools I have access to at work we do not have a Mandrel, and the amount of hours I think it will take me in pie cuts means Im leaning towards just dropping it off at a fab shop for a downpipe.

Likely slap on a straight pipe for the break in miles though.

Did a quick crank and let it run for a few seconds on the old gas. Looks like theres a oil leak from the oil filter/oilwarmer assembly which will need to be addressed. Outside of that looking for some tangible data to determine how far downstream I can safely run the external waste gate, it won't fit as planned under the turbo.

Any takers on a base map for a 8.6:1; E85; 1300cc injector I can do some break in miles on?!?!

sweet build man. How come no obligatory comments about the girl in post #1? "Did she come with the car?" "Did you pick her up in the F/S forum?" "Which is faster?"

Few updates.
Really slacking on closing this out.

Went to put in the fuel pump but looks like the "kit" had the wrong grommet and didn't include the pigtail so thats on hold.

Did the plumbing for the turbo oil/water lines, its slightly tighter than I would want it to be but with the removal of this bracket I do not think I will have any rubbing issues. Opened up the -10AN Oil Drain line fitting from ~.50" to .555" per the lessons learned threads Im reading. Had to retap the pan for a 5/8" Push lock to 1/2" NPT, should be all set here.

Going to do break in miles with the manifold wastage port blocked off, and no intercooler piping and just a 3" Dump out the hood that took me a few mins to make, than start tapering on the boost after alls sorted out and pair it with my 3" Full exhaust. (in b4 hood dump flame) Not going to make the full downpipe / wastegate exhaust now as I will be doing the brake booster delete sometime after she's a runner.

Small update put all the fluids in and started it up.
Sounds wild, timing is way off from when I swapped the CAS over to the CNC head, will need to do some adjustments it looked at >20 deg at ~idle. Coolant inlet hose has a non -favorable bend, and the S2 throttle body needs some attention for the spring tension mod. Outside of that could be on the ground this weekend on some 185 14x6" wheels (sold off my 15x8 wide opens and 15x10 6ul if anyone is selling ). Planned to drive it no boost piping on 93 for a hundred miles or so than give it the beans on e85.

~50 or so miles in, one of my AN water lines I must have not tightened enough and that went pop but outside of my coolant hose/throttle body bind and a speedo/odo solution smooth sailing. Time to get it back up in the air for some boost piping and a downpipes solution to mate this ARtech mani to my 3". Should throw a flex pipe in there as well.

Running VE analyze on one of the first higher load higher rpm decels yielded some brotastic flames bro.

So close but so far.
Running the EWG below the turbo is too sketchy / doesn't really fit so I'm making a spacer for it and then the downpipe.

Some other goodies showed up though, was waiting on a set of wheels so I could run the intercooling piping for clearance.
x10 with 275 A6 shown on virgin fenders. I have autoknex aero fenders for the front and some ebay flare for the rear but maybe ill just try to sneak 245s on rolled fenders for now and ditch the girth.

Looks ready to roll-ish
Put a 15psi yellow spring in the EWG, plumbed everything else. Currently making the downpipe so as it sits is really only for internet hero pulls.
Running the "tuner" map of MS DIY paired with VE analyze but if you're an e-tuner with availability let me know. (Vlad, take my money)

PO had a single diagonal Harddog in there, could have been a knockoff even but I came to find out there were no back plates, so found a local deal on this zerekfab, looks pretty good cant say much for the fitment yet.

Yes, I know, I need a mandrel bender and kapton tape.
