Default Montenegro Blue Forever Build

My goal for this car is to be my forever build. This exact setup was one of my dream cars through high school and when the chance came to realize my dream I grabbed it. This isn't my first car or my first project but it is my first Turbo Miata. Judge accordingly.

As I detailed in my introduction post, I have had several miatas. I sold my second car in February of 2018, but it only took a few months for me to want to get back into the miata game. Initially I was looking for an nb with a torsen. matching hardtop, working hvac and no rust. I had given up on finding a clean na after seeing the sorry state of the local population. ( Side note who in the world let the hoonibros who ruined 240's buy miatas?). So after a month or so of near sales and missed opportunities I caught a break. I bought my Na miata in may of 2018 in Wilmington Beach North Carolina. It met all my criteria and under the stickers and cheap ebay parts had a lot of potential. I jumped at the chance and drove the 500+ miles to get it. The craigslist add is a pretty good summary of the state the car was in. Lots of low quality 'cosmetic enhancements' but nothing that couldn't be fixed with a few hours of hard work.

For the first few weeks I kept things simple. As soon I I could, I stripped off the stickers, horrible side skirts and cheap golden antenna. I changed out the grip royal steering wheel for a renown one ( can't recommend the company enough) and changed out the xxr wheels for a set of Konig dekagrams and some nt05 s. Lots of banzai runs through the mountains at several times the legal speed limit. Tires are great and the car is surprisingly aligned properly, but I'm not a huge fan of the megan coils. Nice and soft for a daily but way too uncertain and soft for a serious car.

Now if I could have just left well enough alone, this would have been a great car that I could have enjoyed all summer. IF...
Turbo Details soon.
Sorry for the lack of pictures, I didn't decide to make a thread until I was finished

I'll finish the rest of the thread soon. But thought y'all might want some context.

Thanks for all of the info over the years, J.
