Default Morpheus

Still have to sit down and put my thoughts in writing, but what an incredible journey it was to get to this year's Miatas @ MRLS event!
I got to unveil Morpheus, something I have been waiting to do for a long time.

The build has been kept under tight wraps for a long time for a number of reasons, the most unique feature shown in the pics - the ability to convert Morpheus from a coupe into a speedster, which to my knowledge this has never been done before.
There's so much more in store for this car and over the next few days I'll make an effort to put it all together and give everyone a better look at this build, cheers! Morpheus as a coupe.
The factory windshield frame has be reworked to allow for quick R&R

The conversion takes about 2 minutes
Morpheus as a 2 seater speedster.
A more aerodynamic single seater version is coming up soon.

That is awesome. Can you show more pictures of what you did to the stock windshield frame and how it is mounted?

I didn't bother putting a timer in the car because this weekend was mainly dedicated to going out and having fun.
The build was finished on Friday night, loaded on the trailer and went straight to the track, untested and with zero tuning time on the suspension.
Once I'll be able to set it up right and knock the rust off of my driving a bit, I'll be able to properly compare the two configurations.

Biggest difference I can tell you as of now is that (as expected) speedster is more fun to drive

Had a blast riding in this thing. Are the dual fuel doors both connected to fillers?

Engine info? Was this designed for a specific class/series?

Looks fantastic.

This car is ridiculously loud. Loved it.

I watched it roll out for its first session, stickers still on the tires. Congrats on getting it done in time.

The dual filler doors allows filling the tank from either side.
This is a time saver for pit stops in endurance racing if the track runs CCW.

Engine is just a mildly refreshed BP4W, nothing special there, SPM power levels (~140).

The car is built so that it's legal for a number of series, depending on the way it is configured.
As it was at Laguna it was the "let's have fun config", but the chassis is compliant with SuperMiata S2 as well as NASA PT / Enduro.
Looking forward to see what NASA does with the elimination of PT and migration to lower ST classes.

Barely made it in time and the car was missing some of the features you'll see on it shortly, but it was enough to go and put on a good show in the paddock and on track

Thank you all for the kind words!

BTW it's kinda funny how many people told me that the car was super loud..
I mean, it did clear the 103 db sound limit just fine, so it wasn't _that_ loud

Another angle of the conversion, Morpheus as a coupe -

Roadster -

Speedster -

Actually, yes.
Not an OTS kit, it'll be a bolt on add-on to the existing HT.
Hoping to have it on the car before SLB, but won't promise anything in regards, we have enough stuff to do without that.

Brian, it takes about 1.5-2 minutes.
