I'm more concerned/upset with the lack of real time baro correction... kind of why i went with a custom ecu in the first place...

So have Vlad hook up an external MAP and use the on-board MAP for baro.

There is something wrong with the on board map sensor. I have an external map to use, but vlad is scared of wiring

If the on board sensor worked properly, I could at least key off, then back on at higher altitudes, and I could live with that compromise.

I don't know the details, but if he turns on some active map setting in tunerstudio, I get an ultra rich condition for like 10 minutes after startup.

Vlad will chime in, I'm sure.

I already outlined/specified the problem earlier in the thread.
If it's a really simple matter of wiring up 1-2 wires, I can do that.
Opening the MS3 and re-soldering stuff, nope.

haha yeah, I know.

Just as long as we can get the key off key on correction, i can live with that

went to the track, had a blast! mainly because of the company

they really suck at staging cars here... one run per HOUR... I could get 3-5 runs per hour back at milan dragway in michigan... and just as busy.

We didn't set up launch control for these passes, but we were fooling around on the street, seemed to make a difference. I could just focus on slipping the clutch just enough.

Also.... FFS!!!

Milan knows what they're doing.
TnT on Wednesdays i can get in just before 4pm when the doors open and hot lap it without ever shutting the car off. Get 5 or 6 runs in in 25 minutes and head home.

So I connected ground and power to the oem BOOST sensor, and extended a wire through the firewall from the remaining wire (not sure what to call it.. sensor readout? idk)

Now, where/how do I connect this wire to the megasquirt?

Do i push it into any of the external ports?

Do i need to change anything internally in the megasquirt?

Please be as specific and thorough as possible.

Thanks

Full weight, without hardtop. zero weight reduction. Literally full glove box, cd's in center console, pyrometer, small air pump, and tire pressure gauge, spare tire, etc in the trunk

Same as before, but with a driver mod... I weighed 190 pounds that day!

2730? Is that with you in it? Are you 95lbs?

Not bad numbers, smooth flat curve.

that's his 2400lb NB2 with two of us in it. we weigh 190 each.

it's actually off though, because VD uses 2350 for the weight. his car is heavier

so in reality dyno should read higher. but who cares. this was comparing the pre vs post flattop porting.

his car makes healthy power.

we raced, lol, multiple times against my same year same weight NB2. he pulls away in every gear

^haha, yeah, we are stocky mugs.

I think we tuned a bit more after the port matching and got like 131 hp in three different pulls...

Either way, not bad for stock intake and exhaust.

Shooting for high 200's whp with ID1000s and IC'd Rotrex... but you know, the kit is still years away.
