Whay are you up to with the stock intake? Is it smog time or something?

Something.
Let me know if you need some input or pics of vacuum/wire routing etc...
I have fiddled with this sort of thing recently.

If you plumb the intercooler directly into the stock intake, it reduces turbo lag tremendously.

Also, just remove all the vacuum lines and cap them off, it also reduces lag, as well as frustration.

I *think* I got it. I've driven it on 4 trips totaling about 50miles and no CEL. Surprisingly enough the FSM was not incredibly helpful in the case of the emissions vacuum lines under the hood, but it had enough clues spread out over enough pages that I was able to funger it out. My fanatical attention to saving all the factory vacuum lines, sensors, mounts and hose clamps has once again paid off in spades.

Absolutely. I was STUNNED at the reduction in lag. So much so that it think it went into negative numbers and it started spooling while it was sitting in my garage! Super glad I left the air filter on, god only knows what would have happened to my wife had she been standing too close!

This is a good point. I'm sure prospective buyers don't know what that little engine shaped light in the cluster means, so I should be safe

My only annoyance with the car at this point is that the HVAC blower fan still refuses to chooch, but to be completely honest I've tried nothing and I'm completely out of ideas.

I need to do some commuting in the car to and from work over the next week or so, and the defroster is going to be pretty important on the rediculously cold mornings. I should probably do some legit troubleshooting today but I've got another social commitment this evening that is going to eat up the rest of my day. I also need to change the oil to something a little more catalytic converter friendly so I've got some 10w-30 Castrol GTX dino juice posted up in the garage also waiting for me to find time to change the oil. Sigh.

If I was going to follow Andrew's naming convention of using characters from Greek mythology I'd have to make this thing "Sisyphus"

It was 33°F when I drove in to work this morning. I actually left my Carhartt vest in the closet and had to dig out a jacket with sleeves!

Here freezing is anything below 55F.
Everywhere else cold is below 32 and freezing doesn't even begin until there have been like 5 days with a high in the teens.

You just need a little, residual from the heater core is probably enough. Is it still below 32? I am up to 40 already and my coolant temp never seems to dip below about 45, even with a low of 28.
It was just 28 for a short while.

Does your Miata live outside, or in a garage?

Mine is outside too, I try to keep the garage empty since it is about as big as codrus' trailer.
