I can vouch for Kendall being a very fast driver and if you can get him in your passenger seat at a trackday, you definitely should

Firstly, nice job getting back out there. It always takes time to shake off the rust and get reacclimated to driving at speed after a hiatus. I too struggled getting back up to pace immediately after the pandemic, but it is slowly coming back.

@Scaxx Do I smell a MT.net trackday in the near future? I'd love to come hangout with everyone again.

I second that notion, Kendall is a quick driver.

Umm, no. I don't "entertain" Stacy. I am the stalwart shield against that darkness. I stand for those who have not yet had the life experiences to recognize the depths of the dangers those such as she represents. I stand for those who appreciate their freedom to vaccinate. I stand and am the strength for those who may think essential oils do anything useful other than in limited cases be flammable. I stand for those and am the strength for those who may be tempted to think a naturopath "doctor" is anything but a sham.

I stand for Stacy's son, the poor soul, and all like him who had the ill luck of the genetic lottery to be born to a mom that is, well, Stacy or a Stacy analogue.

I stand for all of us who undertake serious and complicated hobbies, to which we dedicate significant time and resources to on a calendar-limited timeframe to enjoy, from being hijacked by clueless, thoughtless, malignantly narcissistic individuals who think that just because we are doing something, it would be great if (insert friend/relative/self/whomever) they could go for a ride. But can't be bothered to get out of bed and get there when the rest of us do.

Edit: and finally, I stand for you and all MT.net members in the future like you not losing your virginity to a predator such as Stacy. You'll find somebody special. And it should be special. Losing it to Stacy would be like losing your wallet in Walmart.

Edit 2: I am completely down for shenanigans. And protecting all of yall's virignity. Just don't monkeypox me, bros.

What a fabulous song.

Edit: I have never actually seen that video before now. Love the Fast Times at Ridgemont High references. I will say I was surprised that the young man of the song and the Stacy of the song were not of high school but of Jr High age. I've always pictured it as a 16yo high school male fantasy type thing.

G: all of this is guaranteed to improve your laptimes due to increased "grip"

Music videos the creative vision of the video director, and were sometimes made without any input from the band or song writers. Usually they line up reasonably well, but sometimes you get strange mismatches. For example, the video director of "Headhunter" by Front 242 misheard the title, thought it was "Egghunter" and produced a video with eggs all over the place that really makes no sense to the song.

As for Stacy's Mom, from what I've read the band hadn't originally intended the song's story to be quite so explicit, but the video director decided he wasn't interested in subtlety.

I forgot to disconnect the battery over the winter...and summer...
Yes you read that correctly, 0.148vdc. It's so low my charger doesn't recognize it.

Well, one of my chargers.

This one has a 6v setting!

What could possibly go wrong? 🤔

I like my RS4s the way I like my peanut butter: chunky...? That almost worked

OM NOM NOM NOM

New kicks were overdue, VR-1s this time around.

225/45R15 VR-1 on 15x8. I didn't realize these were x8 until well after the tires showed up. I'd probably have bought 205s if I'd been paying attention. O whale. Should be fine, I'm not fast or skilled enough to be able to tell the difference.

What days did you sign up for at Sonoma? I need to get the Exocet functional as soon as I get the front end suspension rebuilt on the suburban so it doesn’t want to wander when I tow the trailer.

Battery did not do the needful after 12h on the 6v charger. It drops to under 1v within 2 minutes of being disconnected from the charger. She's dead, Jim. This poor little Odyssey battery has had a truly horrible life so I'm not surprised it didn't survive. Replacement has already been ordered.

I started re-installing the Racing Beat header and exhaust yesterday, ungh. I can't remember why I reinstalled the stock exhaust and cats because I opted to PNO it this year and trailer it instead of driving it on the street. I gave up when the sunburn and heat exhaustion started to set in. Miraculously, between the NAPA and O'RLY I managed to find two of the stupid single use crush donut gaskets RB decided to use on these things. As far as I know, Fel-Pro 61593 should be the right one for both the header to midpipe and midpipe to muffler joints.

That's what my notes say anyway. I'll find out tonight after I get off work and try to complete the install.

PO of the header had a think for orange RTV, I'm not nearly that hacky but I'm also too lazy to clean it.
Don't mind me, just quoting myself from however long ago I made the above post...

And for those keeping track, I didn't clean off the orange RTV this time around either 🧠
