Most likely will give it to my friend to part out as I have to invest my time in my business at the moment. Not going to build another car for a while but I will still play around with the Cadillac. Just ordered 19x9.5 / 19x11 wheels for it earlier in the week. Probably going to get it tuned in a couple of months as well.

Not really. I only did a single drift event to test everything out. I was on a vacation the entire August when I had my friend install new rotors, G-Loc R12 pads, and MR-S hubs. Didn't even drive it enough to break those in properly. This was the first time I drove the car in months and I merely went to get In-N-Out a couple of miles from my home. The car didn't even warm up fully.
Minutes before the accident I was thinking about doing a Laguna Seca event for my birthday next month.

That totally sucks, sorry to hear that. How is your back/neck? My brand new NC got hit the exact same way by a drunk driver in 2007. The car was rebuilt but I had lingering pain for a year. I would take the loss of a car over the pain any day.

PM me about navigating the insurance payouts. I did extremely well when I should have lost my ***.
Also, if those Xida's aren't spoken for...

I'm alright. Got an attorney handling the claim. I'm really sore and having trouble sleeping, otherwise, I'm fine. I'll see about parting it out after the case is settled. There are a lot of salvageable parts on it still that are in mint condition.

My attorney hasn't submitted the claim yet. We'll see what the adjuster says. I'm compiling a list of all the parts and associated invoices for said parts at the moment... I don't need to explain the cost of parts to you guys because you're all well aware of them. I'm well over $25k already and that's just large ticket items and no labor costs.
Be interested in seeing if you get it. Especially without telling the ins co ahead of time on the modifications, I mean its not quite fair to them they based your rate on replacing a $3000 car. When I started adding up replacement cost on my car I started to doubt the ins co would pay a fraction of it, that when I pulled it from the road. I hope I was wrong for your sake.

He has no responsibility to his own insurance in this case. The other guy's insurance has gotta pony up to replace the car and deal with UrbanSoot's pain and suffering. Plus the emotional trauma of seeing his hard work crumpled into a twisted mess.
