Man look at all that cool new stuff. Wish I had those:vash:

p51hellfire 08-17-2010 02:01 AM

It's all on now!!!!! :) NO leaks, no drips, just the horribly loud goodness of a straight open turbo exhaust lololol. Tommorrow morning I'm running to the exhaust shop to get my DP made, have to fix the mixing manifold, since I don't have the coolant reroute there is no flow coming from the back of the head (thanks joe for that info) so I was over heating like a mother, other than that I have to fix my waste gate routing. Spool is way different Kinda hate the lag but maybe when I'm all sorted out I'll be ok

johnmatt 08-17-2010 08:19 AM

Be sure to get some videos. If you don't get used to the lag I've got that head sitting in my room I'm working on that I'm sure will help a good bit with that

miata2fast 08-17-2010 12:27 PM

Nice. I need to get another ride when it is all sorted out.

Anything else up your sleeve?

p51hellfire 08-17-2010 06:55 PM

Thanks I was surprised how well they work seriously....

Bond 08-17-2010 07:25 PM

How well do those side windows work...

johnmatt 08-17-2010 07:30 PM

Everything looks good. I think you put the scoops on the windows in the wrong way though

p51hellfire 08-18-2010 03:50 AM

no there in correctly you need something to protrude to capture the air, but it could work the other way too, to a degree. they actually work very well I was surprised at the flow of air its hard to get it angled any where but your chest but it was well worth it IMHO

levnubhin 08-18-2010 08:22 AM

Do you sleep? lol

I had gotten home at 3:30 had to put stock up at my job, worse day of the week by far....

p51hellfire 08-31-2010 10:50 PM

oil cooler blew up nasty today... the sandwich plate o-ring has and was completly fuxored up.... not to mention the line came loose from the return from the cooler soo it blew up too hahaha time for some new braided ones....

miata2fast 09-01-2010 07:23 AM

Yikes!

Do you think you may have starved the motor of oil? Also, I am suprised that you had an oil ring and a hose fail. Do you think you have some other issues you need to deal with? Heat? To high of oil preasure?

sicklyscott 09-01-2010 08:06 AM

Curious as to their lighting vs. the stock lights. Any comparison shots?

magnamx-5 09-01-2010 12:06 PM

sounds like a torqueing issue maybe overtightened and then fatigued after so many heat cycles.

wayne_curr 09-01-2010 02:14 PM

Holy crap, how did I miss this. You ended up with my manifold! Put a brace on that sumbitch, its heavy!

no it was fed when I got it, heat pressure were fine vibration is the main killer, lol

viperormiata 10-30-2010 02:30 AM

We are going to have a army of built, fast 1.6 cars

miata2fast 10-30-2010 08:02 AM

Glad to see that you have made some good progress. You should think about camshafts. You should have most of the things to support it now right?.....Oil pump?

I can help you set it up if you go that route.

p51hellfire 10-30-2010 10:46 AM

Yes I know I'd need help considering this is the first motor I've ever messed with plus I still have much to learn about building an engine, I'd appreciate all the help I can get lol. the oil pump is new with boundary engineering pump gears.

My old motor will be my engine build adventure. I'll rebuild it when I have time, I've got a fresh set of pistons and rodz plus new rings. plus it'll be nice having a spare motor around, just in case, God forbid this beast dies for some reason!
