So I'll start off by saying I've been waiting for almost a year to do this correctly and as they say, "it has begun"
First I'll label all I have now and how much I bought it for (since this is a semi budget build) Sliver 91 w/96,xxx miles- $350 Maintenance- $300 (All belts, seals, etc..) *MS-$250 *AEM WB- $150 Autometer gauges w/cluster- $150 (Boost, oil pressure, water temp) Koesi K1's - $50 205/50/15 Nitto Neogen's - $200 1.8 brake upgrade- $150 Diy Home depot air damn- $7 2.5'' exhaust- $100 Racing seat w diy brackets- free harness's- free K&N- $40 (only thing I bought new lol) *FM rear sway- $45 *Kyb ADJ W/ FM springs- $110 10-AE Strut tower brace- $70 Sr20 T25 w/lines, hardware, and gaskets- $60 *SS log mani + SSDP 2.5" - $330 *I/c setup w bov- $150 IAT- $30 Hard dog H1- $250 Oil feed- $14 *RC 550 injectors- FREE!!! Injector clips - $20 Hard Top- $190 *(bought on MT.net :) ) Now If my Calculations are correct That's a grand total of - $3,006 +/- $100 Not to bad for a pretty worthy Car IMHO lol Now the pics will be coming soon there will be lots... I know everyone likes to see it come together.. (*It has been a year since I first started gathering parts and throughout that year I put on what I have listed) |

That I haven't pulled those together yet sadly I'm trying to get some rx7 pink tops, or some green supra's.. just trying to find them for the right price. Then cops are on there way too, My turbo is not on yet will be in the next few weeks for sure should have injectors by then.

*little update* Got the remaining things ordered/ picked up. Will be starting tomorrow on the oil tap. Then test fitting the turbo and all the other shitz, just waiting for the 550's, oil feed adapter, and a 2.5-2" reducer to come (should be on wed) hopefully tuesday I'll finish the exhaust work gotta pick up some pipe first and a flange...____QUESTION TO ALL____ -If I make my 2.5 exhaust go DP>RES>open, how loud do you think it'll be?-Second choice is to continue with my setup just make a connector piece. so DP>Res>muffler (muffler really sucks... not a great flowing one) I'm currently fighting with myself weather I want a/c or not..... I use it soo seldomly it is retarded and I know I live in FL, it isn't that bad.... sometimes..... I think the only reason I want to remove it is to make the oil return tapping easier lol..... The thing is I'm in St augustine 9 months out of the year and I'll be doing that for three more years, It gets cold there not like Idaho cold, but hoodie and pants cold.... Anyway more pics of the turbo on mani and all lines hooked up: |

I live in the armpit of Texas, and removed my A/C.
I did it as well while drilling for the oil return, and depowering my rack. I never found an idler pulley, and my A/C wasn't working at the time anyhow. There are times I wish I had cold air, but not too often, and I know even a perfect Miata system wouldn't compare to what I'm used to in my wife's car, and probably wouldn't even keep me from sweating after walking to car anyhow. I'm debating pulling the heater now as well...so consider the source. |
I'd keep the AC myself, but I use mine all the time (I'm a wus like that). One thing that helped me this last time drilling the oil return line was I drilled a pilot hole with my extra long 3/8" bit (from when I installed my rollbar). It's so long you can have the drill in the fender well. Then I drilled the 37/64" hole off center. That way I didn't have to remove anything AC or PWS related for drill access. I just shoved the drill up as close to perpendicular as I could manage and drilled the hole. It came out oblong but the tap fixed it up just fine and the fitting sealed great.

Looks good. Are those studs between the turbo and manifold? Those nuts don't look very likely to hold up. Hard to tell in the picture though.

Awe finished exhaust it's bolted in as we speak!! and oil feed came today!! so tomorrow or tonight I'm gonna put it al back together and give her a cranking!!!! woohoo

AHHHHH YEAH Finished it up with a temporary charge pipe!!! lol man I will post my msq's so you all can check them. I haven't tuned anything yet it was just idling and light throttle, I noticed that I need to fix my exhaust alittle, kinda rubs the ears on diff :bang: Anywho thanks all!! Now I need to remember how to post MSQ's lol!! I = Fail. Tomorrow morning I'll post pics!!

OK got the correct piping today and now I HAS MOR BOOST!!!! LOL But just wanna thanks all for the help!!! The car is by no means Done, but it is drivable which is what I needed, I'm on to tuning the car now WOOHOOO..
