no there in correctly you need something to protrude to capture the air, but it could work the other way too, to a degree. they actually work very well I was surprised at the flow of air its hard to get it angled any where but your chest but it was well worth it IMHO

oil cooler blew up nasty today... the sandwich plate o-ring has and was completly fuxored up.... not to mention the line came loose from the return from the cooler soo it blew up too hahaha time for some new braided ones....

Yikes!

Do you think you may have starved the motor of oil? Also, I am suprised that you had an oil ring and a hose fail. Do you think you have some other issues you need to deal with? Heat? To high of oil preasure?

sounds like a torqueing issue maybe overtightened and then fatigued after so many heat cycles.

no it was fed when I got it, heat pressure were fine vibration is the main killer, lol

fixed the waste gate, turns out I had it hooked up incorrectly other than that built bottom end is coming from john matt in a few weeks!!! I'm excited!! MOR BOOST!! lol, any who installed the V/C and wire tucked a ton, I'll get some current pics up soon,

Also bought a DIY LCD touch screen. which is F-ing awesome!!!! I'm going to mount that in the doube din and move the radio to the glove box. Pics will come eventually more progress on the motor when it comes!!!


om amother note my serial to usb adapter fried today.... I have no idea why, new one on the way

I bought the bottom end from johnmatt, and then purchased some headstuds,
next will be mazdacomp mounts and a cometic gasket then

Glad to see that you have made some good progress. You should think about camshafts. You should have most of the things to support it now right?.....Oil pump?

I can help you set it up if you go that route.
