WTF is haggard garage. Sound exactly like someone or something you should not be getting advice from. Just because some single person has added a turbo to a miata without doing it smartly does not mean everyone can. I have seen 10x more blown miata motors for every 1 successful boosting that way.

Megasquirt should be your first upgrade, only. Learn to tune stock so when you actually can afford to boost you'll have the tuning aspect down at least. /broken record

Just need to keep reading on installation of the ms2 or ms3x, i believe tuner studios is a great start for somebody as dumb as me. Also, just for keepsake Im doing a shit ton of research about both just to compare. I keep all my research in binders with catogory tabs sticking off the side. For now my next step is going to get a cpu unless i go with ms3x and use megatunix on my macbook. Ill keep you all updated

I am willing to believe that MS2 will probably loose update support in a year or two. Keep that in mind. Just a guess though. Just wait for, or buy now, an ms3. If you go VVT with an ms2, ow you have to add more stuff. Granted it's just another box, but it's another leak path for money.
