Any particular reason it would knock if i'm seeing a nice flat 12.0 on the AFR gauge? Other than the gauge being wrong.

I don't have a crazy timing map at all either...

I'm going out to recheck my base timing right now. I remember checking the CAS and it was tight a few weeks ago.

Timing is within 1*

I found i had a spark duration of 2.0. Changed it to .7

Maybe that was my problem.

at 128 and 156 your timing is not conservative. 180 its fine
I never even run 12 on pump gas, so not sure if that's fine on your non-ca-crap-91
are you hearing it at full boost/high load?

Yeah, 4th and 5th gear pulls on the highway.

I'll adjust timing in those cells too to see if that makes a difference.
I've pretty much always had it tuned around 12.0 in boost. Maybe i'll add a slight bit of fuel too.

Set timing to 13* This morning. Added a tad bit of fuel 11.5 now.

Issue seems to have went away. At 13lbs it was just touching a few cells that was adding a bit to much timing i guess.

Easy solution would have been to up the boost again, haha.

That's better. VD says 243hp.

Check out that coolant temp... Climbs from 194f to 200 almost instantly on WOT. Then from 200 to 207 to 7000rpm. Once i let off it within 3 counts(instantly) it falls from 207 to 194 again...

That's something i've never noticed before. Coolant sensor is in the back of the engine on the reroute.

Gesso's Exocet did this at Laguna Seca. The car was at about 188°~190° or so coming out of turn 11, and then its a WOT blast and a couple gears to get to the braking zone for turn 2 where the car hit 208° peak, and it was down to 188°~190° or so coming into turn 3.

I only have that one datapoint, but I guess I would call that normal?

Stock BP4W with stock ECU, ebay NA radiator, stock Mazda 180°~185° thermostat from Rosenthal, no reroute, stock temp sensor at the back of the head displaying data through a Scangauge.

Oh well i'm not going to be bothered by it, i'll just assume it's normal.

Had a very successful day at the strip today. Nothing broke.

Turned down slightly and a much better more conservative tune still ran a 13.2 @ 107. Was getting out of the hole like a ******* fighter jet today. Hooking hard in first. I forgot to bring my driving shoes as i hit the track after work and i managed to work the clutch pretty damn good even in work boots.

Man i love taking down mustangs, especially supercharged ones.

Yeah, we only go in straight lines here in Detroit. That's about as much fun as it gets.

I know for a fact, i was the only one putting down the times i was on a 195 tire. Except for bikes obviously.

Awesome video, the car appears to be seriously quick and reliable so far.

Put over 700 miles on the car this weekend. Drove the **** out of it. Found out that the top of 5th 7000rpm is around 145mph give or take.

Did a few pulls with some friends, camera car is an LS6 CTSV, silver car is a pretty heavily modded SS cobalt. My car was at 10psi because wheelspin in the wet.

Lower your sound, the wind noise is insane.

When i started to fall back was the fuel cut at the top of 5th. lol

So 3 hours and a tank of fuel later I've come to the conclusion that they've switched to the winter grade garbage fuel. I think it's still slightly knocking.

Just going to rebuild and come back in the spring. E85.

I feel like the Miata is the wrong car for that state.

Went to a mazda thing.
It was cold.
No broken ringlands.

Now the question is. What will get here first? My TECNA coilovers or the snow?
Maybe even my MS3?
