Damn. Of course I can't find the email Dimitris sent me originally to start completely fresh. I never delete any emails, but that conversation seems to just be completely gone. Emailed him, hopefully he gets back to me.

Regardless...a lot of the stuff in this tune (which is what I started it with) does not seem to make sense.

Got it running, and took it for a mile or so drive. It's awesome.

Continuing my trend of probably being overly paranoid, there's a tick that I don't like. Seems only noticeable at idle, but it's pretty loud. Sounds like it's coming from the head area. Going to hopefully investigate it more today.

Also downpipe to turbo joint is leaking, and that vband seems dicked. Ordered a new one that should be here today.

I no longer believe you. Car is at engine buildersb shop. We spent all day tearing it down twice trying to diagnose it. Initial thought is that the oil pump is bad. Brand new from boundary. He's taking the engine out tomorrow hopefully and giving a more conclusive diagnosis.

Ugh :(

So much for racing it this weekend.

If you didnt put a mechanics stethoscope on the fuel rail before pulling the motor I'm going to punch you in the dick.

It's very obviously not fuel rail. He put it right on the injectors, too.

Okay. Back. Long story, but it's running now.

It was roughly tuned by engine build on his DynaPack today, and made 192whp, which with the way he was doing pulls said is probably 220whp if it were a dynojet. Running only "waste gate" pressure. Not exactly sure what that should be. But it consistently made almost 11psi. Didn't have time to get the EBC working. Or E85. Oh well. First even tomorrow. Hope it all works.

Also, can not ******* get the turbo to downpipe joint to not leak. Ughhh.

Wondering if I should change to the next size up China charger?

Nice!

But Umm, that's a really ugly dyno plot. Might want to put a boost controller on there and re-tune it properly.

Do you have a boost plot by RPM? The torque peak is really late, which suggests to me that either the spool is terrible or there's something wrong with the cam timing.

Yeah, this was rushed. I have the boost controller in the car, we just unhooked it. Now that the engine is broken in and feel like I can mess with it safely now, I'll hook it up and get it working.

I'll post the tune tonight.

Why you no put hp and torque on the same scale?

I've always hated looking at these graphs vs. dynojet. The extra tallness screws with my perception. But can someone tell me why torque and power don't cross at 5250?
