Subaru STi Carputer build thread
While not a Miata build, I think this is okay here. Enjoy!

Also, I was given a broken EeePC 2G surf with an operational 7" screen from my sister, and recently bought a mini-ITX dual-core 12V Atom motherboard with and LVDS connector...this may be getting stuck in the Miata over the next couple of months, and should be on par with the above build, save for over-the-air HDTV which it likely doesn't have the ***** to do. This will be primarily for flashing and logging the Megasquirt II I finished building last month but have yet to install; however, it won't hurt if I can have my music collection on the go, navigation, and MAME to boot. Total expense to date is around $220 on the rig (motherboard, 60GB hard drive, 1GB RAM, touch screen, eBay mini-amplifer, and free busted Eee), and all I really need to buy is a $25 GPS receiver to complete the hardware, plus some patience to wire the tiny LVDS wires from the screen to the motherboard.
