Trying my hand at a turbo
Just dropped some cash on my car, now I'm waiting for everything to get here!!!
Begi S3
MS2
Mishimoto rad/fan/hoses
4.3 torsen
Stage 2 ky clutch/pressure plate (hopefully I found the holy grail with these guys)
Annnndd a long block from a 96 with 85k on it.
My car has 158k on it, I realize I CAN turbo it and it CAN stay reliable, but why risk it if I am in a position to make something a little more reliable. I am going to take the long block to the local race shop and do forged pistons and rods, and possibly church up the head a bit. The car will be dailied for another year or so, maybe a few trips to deals gap, but definitely some spirited driving/occasional track days. All of the things above I either have or are on their way, this isn't a fantasy dream build! Also, I realize I have not touched the suspension. Once I get my car running exactly how I want it, I will slap coilovers and some 225/45's on it and hang on for the ride!

Hopefully it's a holy grail and not a holey one. A holey one won't hold your drink.
Looks like you're almost ready to have some serious fun!

Edited lol that's my inner Kentucky boy showing. Yep I'm pumped, hopefully dropping one of my spare engines off tomorrow to get the works! Ordering timing belt, water pump, seals etc. as we speak. I'm pretty stoked.
Dropped my engine off at the machine shop today, since the owner of the shop is a family friend it is going to be ALOT cheaper than I expected. How else to celebrate than to scoop a hard top I've been looking at tomorrow!
