Long time no updates. Got caught up in some bullshit. Anyway, back at it.
Made friends with a powder/ceramic coater this year so there are some new colors under the hood. Also had the exhaust manifold, hotside and down pipe to rear axle exhaust ceramic coated.
Welded the drain tube inlet to an oil pan.
Pulled the motor to swap oil pans and found it more sludgy and gross than I wanted. So I pulled my other motor apart to see if was in better shape and it was. Spent more time then I should have swapping the pan but it's back together and on the car.
Routed the oil lines for the turbo and connected it to the VVT port. I think it came out nice and clean. The EFR instructions say that I should NOT run any type of restrictor on the oil feel so I'm starting there. Iay have a turbo smart restrictor for sale in the future.
Nothing fits all that great around the radiator in/outlets so I modified the rad mount to sit lower and farther forward. This help the coolant hose clear the intake elbow by millimeters. For the outlet, the turbo plumbing was in the way so I modified how it was clocked to get some more but that didn't help. I may pull it out again and modify the frame rail so I can clock it further. I also flipped and shortened the water pump intake manifold since it didn't fit well and made it nearly impossible to route the coolant hose. Still need to route the turbo coolant lines.
Some pics
I thought I had a better pic of more of my progress but I don't. Radiator is in but not pictured.a few more.coolant hoses and some wiring for the boost solenoid and I think I'm ready to fire it up!
