Thanks Matthew! I still haven't switched it to ECM Link! The thing just runs so darn good with the VPC. I love ECMLink on my Talon, I just can't bring myself to change something that works so well as is.

Great work on everything so far! Do you have any idea when that torsen part 2 video will go up? I'm about to install mine and it would be nice to see before I do it. Would you say its necessary to have extra ppf bolts? I'm hoping mine wont break

doubtful. Axles can get stuck easy though...I've had that issue before helping someone.

Yeah, looked like he was having some real trouble with one in the vid. Would penetrating lube help that out maybe or is it not advisable to use it at that interface?

As for the PPF bolts, I ordered them because back when I did my clutch job, I tried to remove them and they wouldn't budge. In the case of these axles or a really stuck bolt, no amount of penetrating fluid would help.

Excellent build thread, and the pics look great, engine bay and car are super clean.

Loved the heat shield too.

When reinstalling them, put a little anti-seize in there. I found it very helpful when having to remove axle shafts from my old Corolla AE86. Been doing it on my Miata and I've never had a stuck axle yet.

Thanks Sentry and thanks for the tip Midtenn! I'm all about the anti-seize. Since they came out with it in stick form, I put it on everything!

Also, here's part two of the differential install. As you'll see I got into a couple other projects while I was in there.

Again, great video, especially with the cat inclusion! No use for me though as I dove into some surgery and did my swap last weekend. It went quite smoothly with one axle being a little stubborn... but I thought I'd use some penetrating lube and that actually did the trick. Maybe I just got lucky as my ppf bolts gave me no issue either. My car is much more rusty than yours so that kinda surprised me. Also two-piece axles are wonderful.

I must say I agree with your comments, the torsen 4.1 I got has transformed the car. I had some incredibly audible NVH and decel rattle with the stock diff after an ACT clutch install last summer. All of that disappeared with the 60k mi diff with stock bushings that came with the swap which surprised me. Even with a stock motor, the extra gearing makes the car much more civil with inputs/transitions and less finicky as well. I can imagine how magical it will be with turbo.

BTW its amazing what a little spray paint will do to make the car look nicer. Also, is that a GNX in your garage? I learned to love that car a lot from playing forza motorsport 1-4 lol.

Regarding the brake lines, I may've started with the other side, but didn't film me working on that wheel. That's part of the struggle with how quickly I have to put these things together- to give the level of detail and accuracy I'd like would take at least 10 times longer than it does now. I'm forced to keep it "general" for the sake of time.

The cat's name is HoneyCat. I believe a young family member gave him that name when he was a kitten due to the color of his fur.

Speaking of fur, he is the hairiest SOB that I've ever seen. Seriously, he must be exhausted from producing so much freaking hair all day every day. Poor cat, he not only sheds like a mofo, but is constantly barfing and pooping out his hair too. Thank god he is confined to our sunroom and doesn't roam around our house.
