Very fabulous!

That gtx is a healthy little guy, that's for sure. Spool looks like 2560, and power looks like 2871. Nice
|
Hot damn that torque. I bet that hits like a fucking hammer.
|
Which volvo springs do you speak of?
|
Damn, nice numbers. That GTX looks like it is every bit the equal of the EFR6258.

On the dyno it might look like its every bit of an efr. But coincidentally I got this email yesterday from someone I let drive my car "Why does your car have better throttle response than Nieman's car? He was asking me about it the other day because I couldn't stop raving about driving your car ;) Yours felt like nice V8." The Nieman referred to has a GTX2860R I believe, but on an FM manifold and stroker. |

I haven't a dog in this fight though, I haven't owned either  |

So you're using two different motors with two wildly different manifolds to illustrate differences between turbos, right? Just making sure i understood your post. :giggle: |

You realize a post like that is going to wad up so many panties you may as well start a whole separate thread/discussion about it right? lol

Run more timing when the torque starts dropping off and I bet you could flatten it out.
And I hit 25 psi @ 3500 rpm on gas |
I said nice torque. EFRs make better torque, but that's like comparing yourself to God. It's just not fair

I'm pretty sure Andrew would have ramped the timing up top to attempt to do just that. Turbo is probably just about tapped out
|
Well, damn. This is amazing. Impressive gtx dyno. Also, Vlad - I don't think savington tuned this thing.
OP: We need some videos of this thing (preferably not drifting, so we can see it's performance), NAO! |
you're right, missed that part. I'd double check the tune to make sure its tapered up top like we're saying then
not that this car really needs any more power or torque lol, but why not. |
Its tuned. Just leave it.
LOL. guys increasing timing up top to gain like 20hp to flatten the curve.... If your driving the Miata that hard, there are more problems than the little power up top. |
The tuner did crank the timing for the hell of it, he hit 420hp for one pull...we did a lot of laughing.
I'll get some non drifting videos for you guys, and I hope to see a few of you at the Laguna seca miata event. I'll probably need to put a muffler on it, this thing is soooo loud. |
Was Mike Welch doing the tuning or do they have someone else? If it's the actual guys at RRE, they've been in the game a looooooooong time.
