Default 1972 Nissan 240z - $$3500 obo

Category: Import
Status: Clean Title

I have a 1972 Nissan 240z for sale, in USA - Pennsylvania.

Mileage: 7 miles
VIN: HLS3049277
Engine Size: 2.4L I-6

Asking price is $$3500 obo

Seller Information: Mike Gilroy
Phone: (570) 878-0092
Email: Whitecomet21@comcast.net

Looking to sell or possibly trade my '72 240z for a good running Miata.
-newly rebuilt engine(numbers matching car)
-.040 pistons, ground crank, rods, rings, wrist pins
-new rebuilt cylinder head w/new components
-New matched headgasket, timing belt, tensioner, etc
-new oil pump, fuel pump, filter, battery, plugs, wires, coil, distributor, cap, rotor, points.
-new fuel lines, vac lines...basically the engine is new inside and out.
Car was an Arizona-Texas-Oklahoma car...and has been garaged since I've owned it.
Needs:
-carbs rebuilt. She starts but because of the carbs needing attention she's VERY rich.
-interior was taken out to freshen up several things. I have the ENTIRE interior, carpeting, vinyl, console, etc

Just installed new shifter bushings
4-speed manual transmission, no grinds in any gear, and now shifts smoothly
Also, I just had 2 new keys made and the locks recoded...so there are 2 master keys for the ignition, and 2 new keys for the doors and hatch.

Body could use a repaint. It w as previously resprayed it's original 918 orange, but you can see some imperfections in the paint. Otherwise, the body is straight.
-2 rust spots....the battery tray and its inner fender. Other than that it's solid. Underside is solid as well.

-clean title
I don't have the funds to finish this car...all she really needs is the carbs rebuilt and she's drivable on the street.
Tires are all in excellent shape(running original wheels, and original Datsun hubcaps)
Brakes are all good
-new brake master cylinder
-new clutch master & slave cylinders
-brakes and clutch bled properly.

I'm looking to sell first, but if the right trade came along I'd be willing to work with hat as well.

When I think of a Z, this is the first car that comes to mind.

I've always wanted a 240/260z. Too bad I don't need another impractical car right now this seems like a solid deal.

Sounds like a very decent deal. Love the REAL 240's not those "skid racing" 240's.

That's a well put-together video he's done. Personally, I like those cars original, but everything seemed pretty clean and tasteful.

I uploaded about 16 photos and 1 video of the car starting over on Datsunclassifieds.com. It was easier because I'm part of their forum already(classiczcars) so once you go to the classifieds, you'll see my same posting there plus all the pics, etc.
it was just easier that way, instead of uploading everything twice.

God I wish I could justify that purchase. It looks good, especially for the price.

I had a buddy with an early 280z back in the day. 1977? Anyway, I loved it. If I wasn't so buried with projects I'd be all over it. GLWS.

I've had several offers, lowest I can justify letting her go for is $3200. Really looking to get into a good Miata soon. I'd be willing to do trades of equal value (I.E.- a $3500 miata, preferably stock, but tasteful mods are ok too).

Pics are all hosted on Datsunclassifieds.com, or I can text them to you as well. I tried hosting them on here, but I only have my cell and for whatever reason it wouldn't accept them.

Do you have an iphone? Use photobucket's app or any number of other image hosting apps to host the pictures from your phone, and post them too.

Yeah, but if he has an iphone, it wont do the car any justice, because it will be 1 pixel of orange...
