Default 1976 Nissan 280Z - $14K OBO

Category: Import
Status: Clean Title

I have a 1976 Nissan 280Z for sale, in USA - Texas.

Mileage: 99 miles
VIN: HLS30288460
Engine Size: 2.0

Asking price is $14K OBO

Hey guys, I hate to do this, but it's time for me to fund a new project. I'd like to build an Exocet, so I will trade for a miata, however, it will have to be either a beat up miata (that runs and drives) + a good bit of cash. I will take a MSM with a little bit of cash, or a turbo miata (must be standalone, and have a build thread) plus cash.

It's a 1976 280Z with a RB20. VIN: HLS30288460 (this vin is short because of the age)
Exterior
The car is currently painted Pepper Fleet Metallic, but it's not perfect.
MSA front air dam, Datsun Motorsports Hood Vent, Retrofitted head lights with HID's (High and Low), MSA rear spoiler, XXR 531 (16x8 + 0), and spacers. Rear bumper holes and antenna have been shaved. I have the 240z front bumper with the brackets, never put it in

Needs windshield passes inspection but cracked on the right side, a little surface rust is appearing inside the gas cap, hood and roof need resprayed (sprayed it myself in the garage, prep work wasn't as good as I thought :( )

Engine:
RB20 with ebay t3 manifold, wastegate and turbo (t3/t4) ran at 15 psi a little shaft play but have been running this setup for months without any issues.
GTR 440cc with resistor box, Carl H tuned ECU for this setup, front facing intake manifold. Full-Race Motorsports intercooler, TiAL Q BOV, z32 MAF. SAFC, and aftermarket A/C heater setup. Has an aftermarket driveshaft uses spicers u-joints, 350z exedy clutch, oem flywheel. I've resealed this motor with all cometic gaskets (they make a complete gasket kit), new water pump, custom oil pan (needs to be rear sump for the engine to fit). I cut and welded the stock shifter to the rb20 shifter to use the stock Z shift ****. Also uses LS2 coil packs with wires, so no more stock coils and ignitor setup

Suspension:
Megan S13 coilovers with Mckinney Motorsports weld on sleeves, Techno Toy Tuning; front and rear lower control arms, and tension rods. This has the upper camber plates welded in the front. Rear tires are showing a little bit of camber tread wear, and will need new tires in a few months, and an alignment (drives relatively straight, but needs someone who can do aftermarket suspension, which no one around here is willing to do).

Interior:
This place needs the most love, seats are torn, dash is cracked. I have speed hut gauges installed, GPS speedo, multigauge (fuel, water temp, oil pressure, voltage), then RPM's (with shift light), boost, and oil temp. Does not have a radio but an iPod setup (3.5mm to RCA, to amp) it has the MSA 6x9 rear panel speakers. Has an innovate LC-1 wideband turbo timer combo. Has been converted to power windows using a universal power window kit

Heater works, but needs to be bleed some more (heater barely gets hot, and never overheats, if you've ever worked on a Z car you know the radiator is 2.5 inches thick) along with the datsun motorsport hood vent.

The bad:
Again needs hood and roof repainted from bubbles. Interior has cracked dash and ripped seats (very common on the Z cars). A little surface rust on the fuel cap area, fuel gauge needs to be programmed (very easy to do, just need to drain the gas and reset it). Has a little overspray here and there. Windshield squirters do not work, but wipers do. Needs an alignment and rear tires soon. Wiring needs to be seriously cleaned up. Also needs a new v-band clamp for the downpipe. The one I have is a little too small, so i forced it on. Probably needs a new gasket for the turbo as well (I have a 5 bolt to vband adapter).

There is no rust on the frame rails, this car had the factory undercoating. Had a little rust at the battery box, but fixed it when I pulled the motor. A/C lines are done, minus the low side fitting. But is already plumbed up. These cars don't have power steering

The car needs a little cleaning up, I can also include a set of porsch seats (leather in great shape) that will fit on the stock rails, and the autopower roll bar (uninstalled have the bar plus hardware) if I get my asking price.

The car is located in Killeen. I am asking 14K OBO. No test drives unless you've got cash in hand.
