appears my "subscription" to this thread was lost, so I never got an update on replies... yes, I have finally pulled the trigger and decided to sell as is. Been tossing back and forth to fix it back up but i'd rather buy a 2000 miata in the future.

800 for either a parts car or a decent commuter when repaired. Contrary to popular belief: Automatic miata's can be boosted with awesome results (they have the auto trans from 300zx twin turbos)
