i would be willing to sell the car LESS the wheels/tires for $10,500
I would also need a wheel/tire set to replace them with...stock basic stuff, but you would be spinning tires at 100mph with stock tires in this thing.

I just joined this forum to be able to read this thread. This has been quite an ordeal for you Danny. That is one great looking Miata. I will watch to see if the car sells to your prospective buyer. If not, I will be in touch. I am about 3.5 hrs away and would love to see that thing in person. (btw, I do know this sounds just like all the other flakes, but there it is).

i'll post the last pic of it going up on the trailer tomorrow morning.

Hi Folks,
I'm the Dutchman who bought the car... :-)
It is my 3rd MX-5 (and also had a 1941 Chrysler Royal woth a 383 Plymouth Roadrunner engine imported from the States).
I had a 2004 MSM before (and was the first who imported one into The Netherlands). That engine could not handle the combination if hard cornering, higher turbo pressure and a relatively faulty standard oil vapour ventiliation system...so it ended up eating most of it's oil.
I rebuild it with forged pistons and other rods and tuned stock turbo and read 270 hp and relatively large torque numbers, but I sold that one.
Now was looking for a even better step. A LS3 MX-5 is to expensive yet, so I found this car again in Ebay which I saw adverticed before about a year ago on this forum.
It will take about 4 weeks before it arrives here and I will surely have to some work to get a licenseplate on like put a cat on it, change the lighting etc. It is amazing to read here it took so much trouble to seel the car. I really hope I bought a 'big grin' package.
Vincent
