Default 1991 Miata, custom flat black/ bronze

A few weeks ago I got a fantastic deal on an S2000, so the street Miata has to go. The details:

Custom flat black w/ bronze stripes
949 Racing 6UL wheels in 15x8 painted to match the stripes
Garage Vary chin spoiler
Paint/ body work done by Yager's Customs
Dunlop DZ101 tires in 205/50-15
Brand new ACT HDSS clutch
Robbins Streamline top
Viscous LSD
Koni Sport (yellow) shocks
Flyin Miata Ver.1 springs (stiffer and lower than the springs they currently sell)
Flyin Miata pillow ball rear upper shock mounts (1.5" more suspension travel)
Jackson Racing adjustable sway bars
Hawk HP+ pads
Fresh ATE Super Blue brake fluid (painstakingly bled; the pedal in this car is fantastic)
ATE Super Blue in the clutch as well
Voodoo shift ****
Momo steering wheel w/ Momo hub
Momo gas pedal (closes the gap between the gas and brake pedals for heal/ toe shifting; the brake and clutch pedals will be included)
Carbon fiber DIN delete plate under CD player
Pioneer DEH-P4901B deck w/ Ipod cable routed to center console
Tach rotated so that the power band is at the top for ease of viewing
AC blows cold
Manual windows
Manual locks
Cloth seats

All the work done to this car was with the intention of keeping it for a while. I don't do half *** work, and everything I've touched on this thing has been done right. I get complements on it constantly, in fact I've had people bring the car up in conversation and complement it before they even knew it was mine. It needs an instrument cluster hood and mirrors, which can be worked into the deal. I also have a ton of aftermarket parts that just haven't made it onto the car yet that can be worked in as well (chassis braces, lots of turbo stuff, etc).

Price as it sits is $3000

For another $700 my paint guy will paint it whatever color you want. I'm also willing to take parts off to bring the price down.

It wasn't jambed out because my paint guy and I planned to repaint it with the higher end PPG flat clear. This go around was an experiment, and he wanted to redo everything and see how much of a difference there was, and eventually use it as an example of his mad skillz. Then I bought another car, so I reckon we'll paint it

BTW, like I said in the ad, he'll redo this paint job, or do anything else you want (within reason) for $700.

Like I said. I want it gone. What I REALLY want is somebody's $500 barely functional yard art 1.6L car and some cash in trade. Then I could make use of all the stuff I have laying around and I won't have to cut this thing up and make a street F Prepared clone out of it like I really want to.

I just can't bring myself to cut up a car with cold AC, lol.

1.) Vinyl sucks. Paint or bust. I can get the formula for the bronze I used. It's something like 5% red toner, 30% PPG Ultra Fine Gold flake, and 65% Black base. If you go with PPG stuff they have to use their top end materials line, because they don't have a gold flake in any of the lower lines.

2.) Don't bite my style, fool.

It's really easy. Just posted this on Club Roadster, lol.

I did it like this:

spec.this.miata » Rotate Your Miata Tach

Except that I didn't drill new holes and screw the face back on, I just let the pressure from the bezel hold it in place, in case I wanted it on a different angle or if I wanted to put it back stock.

Be prepared to replace the instrument cluster hood if you're going to pull it off, though. The plastic they're made of is junk, and it gets super brittle with age. Mine blew all the clips out in my lap when I pulled it apart the first time, then broke again when I went to fix/ paint it to sell the car. New reproductions are, like $130.

My S2000 is like a Miata with more grip, room for huge tires, less road noise, and when the Miata falls on it's face at 6,500, the S is just getting happy to the tune of 140 more hp.

That said, I do feel a little dirty for going to the dark side, and for being a Hondaboi again.....

Not your style any more, you went to the VTAK dark side

I haven't painted a car yet, but I have applied vinyl before, and it is cheap and easy to redo if I decide too. FWIW, I prefer the wide center stripe with two narrow side stripe look over the dual stripe, and the flat black idea for my car was discussed a year ago, shortly after I got the car. I just want to do it with real automotive type paint, versus the 3 cans of krylon I used on a beater 5-6 years ago.

Wow, that was a great deal...I needed a car several months ago, and I got a pretty good deal on an NA, but not as good as this.
