Man those have a sweet retro sort of look. I'll have to admit it on this one, I've never seen pictures or writeups on the Z8.
Seing how it is a "8" series does that mean its over 100k?

A buddy had a black one when they first came out, he took me for a ride and it was not very fast. A Dinan chipped M Roadster is about as fast for 1/3 of the money.

these cars got shitty reviews on topgear

 

I don't like the way they look too much - just saw one in person recently ... overpriced I guess but still quite unique.

 

the Alpina version only comes in auto, what a piece.

 

i drove the BMW Z8 at Streets of Willows few years ago... it's a awesome car. it's a pig compare to Miata at ~3300 lbs but if you think about it it's got M5 power but with like 700 lbs less weight... it's pretty damn sweet. super classy car and it's very rare you don't see it hardly ever. great car IMO. new they were overpriced but if used one is a good deal... it's worth considering.

 

i raced one... and by raced i mean, sounded my blow off valve off at him and egged him on to "race" me. basically i just wanted to see how fast it was gonna go and how sexy it sounded! (cause yeah, i knew i couldnt beat him when i saw him) it was beautiful
