2001 Special Edition BRG 2940/3000
UPDATE: The supercharger kit has been removed and sold! The roll bar has been removed as well (the packaging shelf and carpet have been replaced with unmodified parts). The price has been reduced to reflect these changes. New pictures soon, as I'm nearly finished with the de-modding I've done.
Up for sale is my 2001 Miata Special Edition number (2940 out of 3000), also known as the BRG Miata (British Racing Green). The car has 93,411 miles and was purchased from a Texas Miata collector in October 2012 with 80,281 miles on it. Given the originating state and the fact that I only drive the car occasionally on the weekends during the summer, this car has zero rust. I repeat….ZERO RUST. The undercarriage is absolutely gorgeous) and the paint still shines beautifully. NOTE: The photos in this listing were taken today, the first day the car has been pulled out the garage in 2018. Therefore, the car is a tad dusty.
The Good:
The car drives like it’s brand new. Seriously. There are zero squeaks and/or out of place noises. The suspension is really tight when dialed down with the adjustable dampers, but can also be made pretty software for a super comfortable ride.
If you are looking at buying this car from a collector’s standpoint, I have ALL of the original parts except for the original radiator and the Bose head unit. You will be getting all of them with the sale of the car. Bring a truck, because you’re getting the stock wheels, exhaust, suspension bits, and a bunch of other stuff when you come to pick it up. I also have a Mazda brand winter cover that I never ended up using since the car has always been parked in the garage.
Zero accidents.

Already said twice, but I’ll say it again….ZEEEEERRRRO RUST!
The Bad:
Small non-structurally compromising chip in the windshield (you can see it in the photos). I know the chip won’t spread because it’s been there the entire time I’ve owned the car and I did at least 2-3 auto crosses per year without it expanding. I’m guessing a window chip fix it kit would work, but it has never bothered me to the point of doing anything about it.
The paint could use a good wheeling to get out a few scuffs.
The ugly:
None, really.

Oil changed at the beginning of every spring with Mobil 1 5w30.

Flyin’ Miata Stage 2 Clutch - Pretty heavy (11lbs to disengage), but holds increased power perfectly.
Flyin’ Miata Stainless Clutch Hose - Replaces a crappy stock rubber hose and tightens up the feel of the clutch pedal.
Flyin’ Miata Clutch Override Switch - Allows you to start the car without pressing the clutch pedal in. Recommended for use with the stage 2 clutch so that you don’t burn up thrust bearing before the car gets oil pressure.
Goodwin Racing RoadsterSport 3 Catted Full Exhaust - Beautiful tone and looks amazing under the car.
Flyin’ Miata Gas Pedal Extension - Gives you more surface area to blip the throttle on a downshift.
A Sony Stereo Head Unit - It works perfectly fine with the car and came with it when I bought it. I have no idea what model number it is (it’s probably visible in the pictures I’m including with this listing) but you won’t care. The music you really care about comes from under the hood. Duh.

The Purchase:
I’m looking to get $7,500 OBO.The supercharger goodies are currently for sale in the parts forum, so if that sells separate, I'll update the listing to reflect that sale. I’ll take payment in the form of cash (which I’ll check on the spot for counterfeit) or cryptocurrency. No checks, money orders, or any other scammy crap. Buyer will be required to sign an AS-IS car purchase agreement.
The Promise:
I have no doubt that you will absolutely enjoy this car as much (if not more) than I did. If you get to a point in the future where you no longer enjoy it or are forced to sell it, I’d like an opportunity to buy it back. I’m getting rid of the car to make some room for a full restoration on another car, which I can’t do if my garage already has another car in it.
