Remember that time blm rioters killed more black people than cops in 2020? That was cool.

In what way is BLM associated with protests against climate change?

Or was this meant to imply that all fanatically passionate Trump supporters are also deniers of global climate change, and therefore cannot protest against it?

(The latter seems more likely to be true, based on what I have observed.)

So anyone wanna take bets on time till full civil war?

Godless Commie 01-06-2021 09:12 PM

Turkish government decided to intervene and bring democracy to the US at once after the January 6 events in Washington, DC.
Military is mobilizing and preparations are underway to apply for US visas for nearly one million troops.

Didn't they fail to remove your president a couple years ago?

Responses posted on forums echo in the distant halls of the interwebz for practically ever, and may potentially have adverse consequences...

This was the least violent protest in the last year, but they are acting as it's the worst thing to ever happen in american history.

They were literally let into the capital.

In terms of number of fatalities, yes, this riot was one of the least harmful riots of the past 12 months.

If that sentence makes logical sense to you, then you have my sympathy.

In terms of "worst thing to ever happen in american history", Well... I'll grant you that the last time an enemy force occupied the US capital was in August 1812.

Of course, at that time it was a foreign enemy, not a domestic one. Even during the US civil war, Washington itself never fell to siege, no matter how briefly.

Today will be a day long remembered. A generation from now, high school students will read about it in history books.

Today is my birthday. This morning, my mom down in FL texted me, wishing me a happy day. I replied that I'd be perfectly happy with merely an uneventful day. (She pretty much ignores all news and politics, so had no idea what was about to go down.)

I did not get my birthday wish.

There are no domestic enemys only citizens. The state belongs to the people not the other way around.

Wasn't the Capital "stormed" when Kavanaugh was appointed?

Bajingo 01-07-2021 12:39 AM

Yep.

I do not recognize those who seized the US Capitol building today as "the people," insofar as a group of which I consider myself a member.

This was an act of sedition.

I fully expect that one of the first acts of the incoming President will be to pardon them.

I hope that I am wrong.

It will only be remembered this way because that way exactly what liberal media wants you to remember it like.

I watched this thread for quite a while - like driving by a huge car accident, where you cannot look away, even if you want to...
As a foreigner I will keep out of the discussion as such- but one question just popped up in my mind, when I read your answer...

What would have been your answer, when (lets do a wild imagination here) - Biden/Hillary had lost the vote, (but might even have won the popular vote), and the democrats/Antifa would have done the EXACT same things as have happend yesterday?

BTW. Happy birthday anyway, Joe!
