Steven Spielberg Behind Obama's Bain Capital Attack

At DreamWorks Studios, Steven Spielberg spent three hours explaining how to capture an audience’s attention and offered a number of ideas that will be rolled out before Election Day. An early example of Spielberg’s influence is RomneyEconomics.com, a website designed by the Obama team to tell the story—a horror story, by their reckoning—of Mitt Romney’s career at Bain Capital. Afterward, Spielberg insisted that Messina sit down with the DreamWorks marketing team. Hollywood movie studios are expert, as presidential campaigns also must be, at spending huge sums over a few weeks to reach and motivate millions of Americans

Pretty interesting article. I think I am not sure I buy some of the narrative, but a lot of it would make me nervous if I was a Romney campaigner.

For example, I do not think I agree with this:
In 2008, Obama’s campaign earned acclaim for using tech to harness, in volunteers and dollars, the excitement surrounding his candidacy. He routed John McCain, outspending him nearly 3 to 1. This race will be different. Romney and his allies are certain to hold the financial upper hand, not least because the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision in 2010 allowed for a flood of corporate cash.
As of March 31st, Obama has something like $84 million on hand to spend on the primary versus Romney's $10 million. Source.

The only way the above comment makes sense is if they think corporations will spend heavily in favor of Romney versus hedging their bets and trying to pay off both candidates.

Acts of congress are so overrated:

President Obama will sign an executive order Friday to significantly alter U.S. immigration policy to reduce deportations of illegal immigrants who came to the country at a young age.

At least tell me if it's about eurobonds so I can decide whether to carve out the precious extra seconds in my life to make time to watch it (and probably refute it).

He's got one part absolutely right. "You couldn't make it up". It's so absurd, because the so called leaders have no clue how to fix things, and they're actively making things worse.

He has a lot of it right, but let me ask this: will the European Central Bank, which has made loans to the various nations in question, be unable to come up with the euros necessary to cover the loans it has made?

No, but the fundamentally sound Fed Reserve will continue to prop the Euro up, because we have absolutely no problems of our own....:vash:

Given that the ECB is able to print more Euros, this would seem unlikely.

Today's Headline: Obama Plays Golf for the 100th Time of his Presidency

President Obama rolled out of his Kenwood, Chicago home Sunday morning and headed to out to play his 100th round of golf since becoming president.

...

Obama has already played golf eight times this year. He actually is a little off his normal pace – perhaps campaigning is intruding on golf. The president golfed 28 times in 2009, 30 times in 2010, and an incredible 34 times in 2011.

...

George W. Bush gave up golfing in 2003, explaining his rationale five years later in an interview with POLITICO, saying it was wrong to play during wartime:

I don’t want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the commander in chief playing golf. I feel I owe it to the families to be in solidarity as best as I can with them. And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal.
Obama clearly disagrees and has been unperturbed by criticism of his golf, maintaining a steady pace even during an election year.

Flashback to 1994:
“Bush tastelessly did it, often from the ninth hole, and from the cigar boat and other places,” Axelrod said.

Added the adviser: “The impression you got was that he was out of touch.”
