lets get on a more productive subject. What do you all think of the bathroom bill?
On the one hand, if you are living as a woman, then regardless of your biological gender, you probably won't be noticed if you use the ladies room already. On the other hand, this whole "it will open the door to molesters" argument is also silly. As we already know, all men are rapists*, so I feel qualified to speak from the point of view as a rapist: The bathroom at Target is not a location I would choose for my molestation-related activities. * = Just ask a SJW. |
And the "all transgender men are rapey perverts" completely ignores that most abuse happens at the hands of a family member/friend of family.

I still dunno how the bathroom "issue" ever came to be an "issue".

It seemed fairly obvious, especially if one looks at the sources of said hysteria. |
were gay/trans/etc people having difficulty going to the bathroom?

If you have the time, this episode of RadioLab was particularly interesting: http://www.radiolab.org/story/invisibilia/ |
All the trans people I know just used whatever bathroom they identified as and then would go in a stall. So no one would be checking out whatever junk they have.

Also, we already have laws against any unwanted attention that could be given in a bathroom. Adding more laws isn't going to help. Since those that would be a problem would already be ignoring the ones we have! |
Larry Craig has the answers.

There are way more pervs and pedophiles than there are priests and trannies. They now have an excuse to go into the girls bathroom.
But honestly, if the economy was this crappy I'd make an excuse to talk about anything else.

* "People" = people. Not vague, amorphous constructs like "the media" or "the government," but actual, uniquely identifiable individuals who make decisions about stuff. People like Amy Waldman, the news director at my TV station, or Brian Cornell, the CEO of Target Corporation, or Meeke Addison, head of Mothers Against Everything and a vocal proponent of the oft-referenced boycott. |
