So far as I am aware, that is its correct name. If not, then a lot of reputable sources, including the Air Force Armament Museum at Eglin AFB, also have it wrong.

The city of Lansing, Michigan has reportedly dropped its sanctuary city title after a little more than one week.

According to Fox News, city officials voted 6-0 last week in favor of donning the sanctuary city title. The Washington Post reports that this was “a blast at the Trump administration.”

That blast didn’t really last long. According to WaPo, GOP members of Congress from Michigan blasted the move. Rep. Mike Bishop, who presides over Lansing, described it as “completely reckless,” stating it “sends a dangerous message that local governments or individuals can simply pick and choose which laws they wish to follow.”

Three days after the decision, officials at the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Michigan Chamber of Congress reportedly sent a letter to the city council saying the title of sanctuary city places “an unnecessary target on the City of Lansing while jeopardizing millions of dollars in federal funding that impacts the city budget.”

...

After the backlash, Lansing’s City Council met last night to reconsider the issue. That’s when sparks really flew.

According to MLive, several citizens of Lansing showed up in Trump shirts to skewer their leaders for their decision to harbor illegal immigrants.

Ultimately, according to MLive, Lansing’s City Council voted 5-2 to drop its sanctuary city status after less than 10 days.

One of the people who voted against dropping the status was council member Kathie Dunbar, who MLive states as “a major proponent of declaring Lansing a sanctuary city.”

“It’s a darn shame that after appearing to have a backbone and actually taken a stand on something that really matters, folks have decided to throw it away,” she reportedly said.

“And the message that sends to folks is really sad.”

Several people allegedly left the room in protest after it was announced Lansing would be dropping its sanctuary city title.

Remember Lois Lerner? The IRS official who abused her power to stop Conservative organizations from being approved as non-profits?

Long before there were conspiracy theories about Russian election meddling, there was concrete evidence that the Obama administration intervened in the 2012 election. Lois Lerner blocked conservative organizations from receiving tax exempt status, thus preventing them from fully participating in the 2012 election.

She thought she got away with it. She and the Obama administration believed that she had avoided prosecution and walked off into the sunset to retire.

They were wrong.

Two Congressional leaders are now calling on the Department of Justice to re-open the Lerner case after new evidence came to light.

House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady and Representative Peter Roskam are each calling on Jeff Sessions to reopen the criminal probe into Lois Lerner.

CNN has published a report apparently confirming several aspects of a statement made by Judge Andrew Napolitano that was deemed fake news roughly a month ago.

As Zero Hedge reports, Napolitano appeared on Fox News last month and stated that President Obama received surveillance on Trump from Britain’s spying agency.

“Three intelligence sources have informed Fox News that President Obama went outside the chain of command,” Napolitano said at the time. “He didn’t use the NSA, he didn’t use the CIA, he didn’t use the FBI, and he didn’t use the Department of Justice. He used GCHQ.”

Napolitano continued, “by simply having two people go to them saying ‘President Obama needs transcripts of conversations involving candidate Trump, conversations involving president-elect Trump,’ he’s able to get it, and there’s no American fingerprints on this.”

...

In one article, CNN described the claims as “uncorroborated” and suggested Trump ought to apologize.

Britain’s Prime Minister Theresa May further referred to the report as “ridiculous,” stating it “should be ignored.”

The CNN article even states the infamous Susan Rice who claimed Trump’s allegations against “our closest ally” could be costly.

President Trump refused to apologize at that time and it’s apparently good he didn’t in light of an article CNN published today titled “British intelligence passed Trump associates’ communications with Russians on to US counterparts.”

It reads, “British and other European intelligence agencies intercepted communications between associates of Donald Trump and Russian officials and other Russian individuals during the campaign and passed on those communications to their US counterparts, US congressional and law enforcement and US and European intelligence sources tell CNN.”

maybe he'll get his job back at Fox News, when he uses CNNs story?

Two men from Chicago have reportedly been arrested by the FBI on suspicion of conspiring to send detonators and a recruit to ISIS.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, one of the men – Edward Schimenti – calls himself Abdul Wali. Feds were reportedly watching him for months, compiling evidence that included footage of him stating he wants to see the ISIS flag “on top of the White House.”

The Chicago Tribune states that recordings also captured Wali discussing how he dreams of throwing homosexuals off the Willis Tower.

Wali apparently knew he was being watched but still plotted to send not only a recruit (who was actually an FBI informant) to ISIS but several cellphones he hoped the militant group would use on detonators for bombs that could kill 20 people each.

Oh Russia, you so silly.

The US just dropped a 21,600-pound conventional bomb in Afghanistan.

The bomb, the Massive Ordinance Air Blast, nicknamed the "Mother of All Bombs" because of its acronym, is the largest nonnuclear bomb in the US's arsenal. But Russia has an even bigger one.

The so-called father of all bombs is thought to be about four times as big as the MOAB. It's a thermobaric bomb with a destruction radius of nearly 1,000 feet and a blast yield of nearly 44 tons of TNT.

Thermobaric weapons differ from conventional bombs in that they combine with atmospheric oxygen to greatly extend the blast radius.

Developed in 2007, the FOAB explodes in midair, igniting a fuel-air mixture. It is designed to vaporize targets and collapse structures, producing powerful blasts and aftershocks but without the radioactive fallout of a nuclear weapon.

Truthfully no. We didn't have cable TV in the 80s. I didn't even discover MTV until I was in middle school...

The Headbanger's Ball. That was a show I'll never forget.
