For JoeP, I think you'll like this one:

As soon as Owens said Trump insulted everyone, not just black people, Don Lemon pivoted to try to discredit Owens for disagreeing with Prophet Obama. It’s clear from this entire segment Don Lemon was only interested in TRUMP IS A RACIST. But because Owens wasn’t playing along, because Owens had the exact opposite experience with Donald Trump:

Meanwhile, this pastor seems only to want to help his flock. Which greatly displeased Don Lemon who was determined to stay on target. By the looks of this interview, and in my opinion, Don Lemon wants to take Trump down based on TRUMP HATES BLACKS. That’s the tactic now since the Russia plot imploded like Tess Holliday’s folding beach chair. Stand back, small children. Anyone who detracts from the “Trump is a super-racist” narrative can have an on-air rectal exam about what they’ve previously said about previous presidents who may have been the fantasy Don Lemon used while playing with his bits. Which isn’t a racist joke, it’s a joke about men’s not-secret hobbies. It’s not even a gay joke, calm down.

Is there really any doubt CNN has nothing else on their mind other than taking Trump down? Would it be fair, based on the segment with Don Lemon you just watched, to call CNN fake news?

oh democrats, you so not racist.

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/o...9xvtRgJu7_t4hw

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, the House Democrats’ powerful campaign arm, has just abruptly purged half a dozen staffers. Why? Because they are white.

It appears that no one had anything against these particular staffers ... except for the color of their skin. Although roughly half the committee’s full-time staff (13 of 27) were nonwhite, this was not enough for some Democratic members of Congress. They complained DCCC Chairwoman Cheri Bustos of Illinois had brought in too many white staffers when she won the position. And they put enough pressure on her that she sacrificed her loyal staffers to the god of diversity.

Even if all these staffers ended up with cushy lobbying jobs as a reward for their loyalty, this is still a lot more shocking than people perhaps realize.

is this racist? this one is confusing as well:

https://abc7ny.com/nyc-store-owner-s..._ly38nJjmKgDYM

SOHO, Manhattan (WABC) -- A New York City art gallery owner says a group of teenagers attacked him because he was wearing a red "Make America Great Again" hat.

Officials said 42-year-old Jahangir Turan told police he was on Canal Street in SoHo around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday when was struck in the head from behind. He refused medical attention.

Turan said he was leaving the N train wearing a MAGA hat when a group of teenagers yelled "F*** Trump" and attacked him.

He spoke at a press conference Thursday, detailing his recollection of the attack. He said about 15 to 18 people were involved.

"One girl flipped my hat, and within five to eight seconds, I got pushed from the back of my face, and my face hit the scaffolding pole. I got startled, I walked away," he said.

Turan, whose face was swollen and bruised at the press conference, said he's surprised police have not made arrests.

"It's kind of ridiculous to get beat up like this for wearing a hat," he said.

He said he bought the hat that day at Trump Tower and had plans to put it in his home because he believes "it's dangerous to wear a hat like this in New York City."

The attack has not stopped him from putting the hat on and expressing his political views.

"I love President Trump, I think he's doing a great job," said Turan.

An investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made.

My overall point in this is that liberals tend to be sex offenders at slightly lower rates than conservatives, which contradicts Brainack's earlier assertion that liberals tend to be child-rapists.

Your above "larger cities are bluer" supports my assertion, given that I'm proving larger cities have lower rates of sex offenders than small rural towns.

But...

https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...cd6d511c2d.png

Good question, Black Hat. Let's do that.

New York City is the most populous and densest city in the US, by far. Its DMA does not contain any suburban areas. In fact, the city itself occupies five separate (and geographically quite small) counties, mostly in their entirety.

It is also quite liberal.

NYC clocks in at 2,067 citizens per sex offender. The percentage of sex offenders in NYC is less than half the state average, which is 981 citizens per offender.

A few hours north by train (it really is a very soothing ride on the Amtrak Empire Line, and one which I've made many times), and you start to get into the Hudson valley, which is a blend of suburban (around Poughkeepsie) and downright rural. Like, actual family farms. Apple orchards are popular.

One area that I'm especially familiar with is the Catskill / Hudson neighborhood, as Nichole used to live there and I spent quite a lot of time there. Catskill and Hudson are two small towns on either side of the Hudson river, and are on the edge of what might be considered a suburb of Albany. It's about a 40 minute drive.

It's actually a very picturesque part of the state. Lots of hiking trails and waterfalls and old barns and deer and covered wooden bridges and whatnot.

Also lots of pedophiles.

Specifically, the citizen/sex-offender ratio in Catskill is 207:1, and just across the Rip Van Winkle Bridge in Hudson, it's nearly the same at 212:1. Roughly 5x higher than the state-wide average.

So, is this good enough? If we posit that big cities in red states tend to be bluer, and I can demonstrate that those big cities have lower rates of sex offense than out in poorer rural areas, and we've already seen that blue states, as a broad generalization, tend to skew towards lower levels of sex crime than red states, is that enough to debunk Braineack's assertion vis-a-vis:

Because, whether you agree with someone's political views or not (and, for the most part, I don't agree with the political views of most self-described liberals), trying to frame liberals as being unusually prone to pedophilia does not in any way help the political discourse, mostly because it's just so demonstrably and embarrassingly false. And it makes you seem as desperate for some criticism to latch onto as the "Orange Man Bad" crowd.

And that does a major disservice to all of us who consider ourselves to be in the right-thinking camp.

Geeze, this thread moves fast. Miss a few days and this is what happens xD

Thanks for the additional data. I also liked the addition of "having to relocate" since you typically need to be X distance from schools, etc afterwards - and that's a challenge for a highly populated area. Regardless, I'd probably enjoy seeing that data overall, and not just for new york and circa. Just to get a broader picture.

And fully agree - it's no fun to pin an entire group as one thing - of course. It's just effectively annoying...because the either you're with us or you're against us is what's pinned the left's candidates all this time. Where's the middle. Or - just because I agree with 5 things Trump does, doesn't mean I agree with all the things he does. Etc. I've gotten the "He's rotten, you need to be against EVERYTHING he is." Alright pal...relax now. For me it comes down to numbers. Don't give me a plan built on unobtanium. If that was the case, I need the candidate that's going to push for world peace, and ending hunger and poverty 100% - also getting rid of all crime. Never YOU mind about how I'm going to do that...just vote for me because I want to and say all these "nice things."

Between cold dbag who gets things done, and warm and fuzzies man with unobtanium - cold dbag all day.

(White guy attacking another white guy.)

That is a very interesting question, and I can't say that I have a good answer. Normally, when a white person attacks a non-white person, or a non-white person attacks a white person, the answers are obvious: yes, and no, respectively. But we don't have a good algorithm for detecting racism in situations in which no non-white people are involved.

If I had to wager a guess, I'd say no, it wasn't racist, since no non-whites were involved. I'd tend to chalk that one up to just good old-fashioned "being an asshole," which is what we used to call all criminal acts before social justice happened.

^^ There is always a price to pay for freedom, so what's your point? I'm guessing it doesn't happen much in N.Korea (short of state sponsored events). If you want to make a difference, look into the role media (social and traditional) plays into it, or look at the mental health care system. Do you really think any one of the nut jobs who do this stuff wouldn't just find another (and perhaps even more insidious) way to leave their mark?

So that I understand correctly, you were referring to Skamba's post, yes?

According to most reliable sources, the price of freedom is vigilance eternal.

Yes, it was indeed Skamba's post.
I would expect no lesser price be exacted. Does anyone really want bargain basement freedom anyway?

Skamba 08-04-2019 01:53 PM

Even if I were to agree that 'having guns = freedom', which to me personally just seems silly, the US is considered to be less free than most western European countries. Source.

good2go 08-04-2019 02:22 PM

Never said "having guns = freedom". Having freedom is however consistent with the ability to own guns.
Personally, I think it's silly to suggest that the US is less free than most western European countries. I suspect the devil is in the details (i.e. by whom and by what measure that consideration is being made).
