LOL at arrogant leftists thinking there was no free speech before they arrived and fixed the world.

Intolerance of free speech and even free thought has been taught in schools and on children's television for many years now. The passive-aggressive leftists behind these teachings were interested in changing America, and they have. And while the "useful idiots"* of the movement believed they were advancing great social ideals, they were actually teaching subversion of the basic tenets of the constitution. They should be very careful what they wish for because the intolerant children may not always side with their agenda.

*Useful idiots is a term widely attributed to Lenin as how he described the proletariat active in his movement, although it appears in none of his known writings.

Actually, I got that wrong the first time 'round. The really interesting experiment would be to take a bunch of present day UC Berkeley anti-free-speech protesters and drop them into the middle of UC Berkeley in late 1964.

Oh, absolutely.

The major difference is that in the 1960s - 70s, college students were mostly protesting against censorship, whereas today, they are demanding more censorship.

^And that worries me deeply.

It doesn’t take much for a young girl to be pretty: simply be thin and have long hair. All that can be quickly destroyed with weight gain, tattoos, and a shaved head.
rofl.

He is a crotchety old contrarian, and he decided to "attend" the recent riots. He wanted to see it for himself. He described it in class - the vandalism, the assaults. He said that three masked youths were running by holding clubs, and they spotted him, stopped, pointed, and said, "We know who you voted for." He believed that they were going to beat him, but something scared them and they ran on. This is a little bald Jewish man in his late sixties.

Asking again:

Y'all know that there's a difference between the black bloc and your everyday liberal protester right?

It's kind of bizarre to demonize liberalism by equating it with anarchy/anarchists...

My father always used to say that we are judged by the company we keep.

Every republican is a god fearing fascist nazi gay hater.

That's a good excuse though: we aren't the rioters -- it's those other guys, go to all the same events we do, hang out with us, vote the same way we do, want the same things we do, but bring masks to the protest.

"god-fearing" and "gay-hater."

Otherwise, the implication is that all republicans are gods, who are fearing, who are gay, and who are haters. (Commas would also have been helpful.)

And, speaking only for myself, I am not a god.

Every republican, however, is a god-fearing, fascist, nazi, gay-hater.

(Well, most of them are god-fearing. Some are convinced that god is their buddy, and thus, have nothing to fear from it.)

Lol, the black bloc doesn't vote.

This like equating every republican/gun owner/2nd amendment believer with the bundy idiots.

A couple are ok.

This one went from "homecoming queen runner-up" to "I have a professional career, earn six figures at the nonprofit agency I manage, and am appearing on a political-opinion show."

Most of those ladies appear to be teenagers, aka high-school / college. To be fair, I looked like a genetic hybrid of Slash and Bob Ross at that age. Huge, greasy Cuban afro. Wore all black all the time, had duct tape holding my boots together, and wasn't a huge fan of regular bathing. A couple of the ladies at the TV station where I worked part-time literally took up a collection to pay for me to get a haircut.

Needless to say, I was single during the entirety of this phase of my life. (insert joke here)

College Writing Center Declares American Grammar 'Racist' | The Daily Caller

An “antiracist” poster in a college writing center insists American grammar is “racist” and an “unjust language structure,” promising to prioritize rhetoric over “grammatical ‘correctness.'”

The poster, written by the director, staff, and tutors of the University of Washington, Tacoma’s Writing Center, states “racism is the normal condition of things,” declaring that it permeates rules, systems, expectations, in courses, school and society.

“Linguistic and writing research has shown clearly for many decades that there is no inherent ‘standard’ of English,” proclaims the writing center’s statement. “Language is constantly changing. These two facts make it very difficult to justify placing people in hierarchies or restricting opportunities and privileges because of the way people communicate in particular versions of English.”

Yup. Things started going pretty downhill when colleges started to rake in that monayyyy and start advertising and spending more money on bullshit than on education.

I guess this is one of the good things about the sciences. They legitimately don't care about you bitching about a grade because there are 100+ students in the class and they have years of records and analysis on exam performance to compare to each class.
