Default "Had to shoot someone on friday."

A man was attacked by two men in a gas station. He shot one, got in his car and split. He called the cops and returned to the scene. He wasn't fleeing, he was getting to safety.

Gas station video here:

God bless America. When do you think they will pass the law in TX letting you carry a gun to school.

Finally an incident where your right to bear arms works for the innocent.

In the UK, any act of self defence utilising greater force than is used against you, results in you going to jail for assault and your attacker suing you for damages.

In the UK guns and knives are becoming a problem, not with "old School" armed robbery but with teenage gangs. Kids using them for "self defence", gangs using them to exact non-existent "revenge" on other kids from a different ethnic background.
Our immigration policies allow refugees from both sides of a conflict to enter the UK, both sides then start the same trouble over here, resulting in teenage murderers.

so it's legal in texas to shoot random people?

I mean you can't walk down the street and say "hey that's a criminal!" and shoot someone, can you?

Not to mention handguns are illegal in all of GB but Northern Ireland.

You mean "and Northern Ireland" or "but not Northern Ireland"?

It isn't that simple, if you are in fear for your life, you have the right to defend yourself.

I find many of the laws in regard to self defense with a gun so vague that I think in a situation it could be dangerous for the person defending them self. "Is this a situation where I can shoot and not get in trouble?" and by then, they may be too late.

defending yourself with fear for your life may be the answer to my question.

and also address how one can be not involved in an armed robbery as a victim yet still be off the hook legally if he uses his firearm to address the situation.

something tells me there is leniency in situations like this.

I watched an episode of Peep Show where some punks broke into the guy's house and held them at gunpoint until other heathens could be called to finish the robbery.

Orly? I didn't know it passed. All of the 18 year olds at UTSA that thought it was cool to be everything their parents aren't were asking people to sign a petition to stop the law. I said I would feel better if I could carry a gun, that way, if some little faygette with skinny jeans and black nails whos daddy never loved him gets mad about getting a D in intro to religion because no one believes in the radioactive beachsand theory of evolution was assisted by the flying spaghetti monster with cornhole seeking ***** missiles is the only way the world could have began. So he gets a stolen columbian drug gun from the money he was supposed to spend on food, and instead bought ramen noodles instead so he can shoot up his classmates.

Rock on. One more reason to finish our CCW permits for this state. FWI New Mexico is "open carry" and your vehicle is your domain ie: an extention of your home and conceal is allowed in your vehicle. Just make sure you tell the cop when they pull you over for speeding. No personal experiance with last but few cop buddies out there

In SC:

- Cannot carry on campus. Only recently were allowed to drive into a school parking lot (i.e. picking up your kids) with a gun in the glovebox IF you had a CC permit. All others must leave their guns at home.

- Can carry in glovebox or center console without a permit.

- Can shoot the bad guy just about anywhere. Until recently you had the obligation to retreat until backed into a corner you could not get out of.

- Cannot yet keep a gun in your car at work. They have been trying to bring this up for vote for the past few sessions.

- Car, house, hotel are considered your "castle". This is also a recent law. SC is finally getting it right.

Usually your posts are well thought out and make a cogent point about the topic at hand.

This is unusual for you. Are you feeling ok?

I let y8s slide on this but I am glad someone is confronting his post. I guess I'll pile on too <G>.

FWIW, if you walk up to me while I am pumping gas you will notice that I have my hand in my pocket. **** with me if you want to find out what it is holding. Two years in County Grand Jury showed me how many scumbags are out there. I don't trust anyone now (with good reason).

Oh, I haven't read the shooter's comments. I've only seen the posted video. I would add that it is really stupid to post about a shooting. If I take a large dump, buy a laptop, try a new beer, or fabricate something with my MIG welder you can expect a post from me. If I ever have to discharge a firearm you can forget about hearing from me for quite a while. Talk to no one except your lawyer if this ever happens to you. Do not cooperate with the cops (you know what I mean). I believe cops are good people who are here to contribute to the common good but you can kiss your life good bye if you say the wrong thing under stress.
