I know that this is an emotional thing for some folks, but I don't think it's unreasonable to characterize this accident as having been, to some extent, not unforeseeable. Most of us survive the learning of this lesson, while an unfortunate few do not. |
You are mistaken, it was a very slow paced Sunday drive type of drive. This was a fluke accident. No more foreseeable than the next bolt of lightning.

We can recognize that the pace may well have been slow and relaxed, well within the safe limits. We can also recognize that putting an inexperienced driver in a very high performance car on a challenging road for the purpose of learning fairly demanding driving techniques may not be the most prudent choice. |
