Heh, just trying to keep fear alive.
“This plant is safe,” California Edison’s Chief Nuclear Officer Pete Dietrich told ABC News.
Oh No! That's the secret code for "everything is spiraling out of control and we'll all be killed!"

I used to. The money's far better over here on the vendor side of the business. (So, I guess technically, I now work for all the networks. Heh.)

I just find it ironic. I live about 30 miles from the plant, and I know I'm supposed to be afraid (Oh Noes! Radiation Escaped!) and yet I just can't bring myself to get worked up about it.

What's even more ironic is that I searched quite a bit trying to find some actual fearmongering, and couldn't come up with anything.

Yea I looked and only really found that abc article. I did find some article by a lady saying how terrible Nuclear power is for the environment and that they release tons of mutant toxins that are absorbed into fat near the thighs and abdominal muscles thus mutating reproductive DNA... oh my.

If that were true, we could solve two problems at once by adding nuclear power plants all over the world...

Energy shortage? SOLVED!
Overpopulation of earth? SOLVED!

Looking at some of the adolescents roaming about I think some mutated DNA may actually improve things.

Is that about Diablo Canyon - a.k.a. The San Andreas Memorial Wasteland-of-tomorrow?
