Attachment 192378 DEATSCHWERKS 300LPH In-Tank Fuel Pump January 2011 Release! Attachment 192379 Attachment 192380 DW300 Highlights:
DW300 Specs:
Thank you for checking out our DW300 release post. Feel free to ask any questions about the pump in this thread. Also, we will be posting any updates about the pump in this thread. |
How does the pump compare in physical size to a walbro 255 or similar?
|
Size is very similar.
I have one in my '99 10AE, and it was an extremely easy install. |
Price?
|
~$169
|
This is a no brainer for the e85 folks. Very nice
|
holy craptastic.
Where can I find this on your site? |

Where can I find this on your site? January 2011 Release! As was posted in the first post. :loser: |
Ahh. Perhaps they should create the "release post" when it's released. If it is released now, then it should be on their site. If it's on their site, it should be easy for me to find within 3 minutes of randomly clicking on their site. My :2cents:
|
Looks interesting...
Audible noise comparo against "brand W"? Brand W has a rep of being noisy, or randomly being noisy. A few folks do care about noise. Those graphs provided... are at 14.4V? 12V? |
Hey Tim, sorry about the wording. :P They will be available around the middle of January.
Jason, This pump is quiet compared the the W brand. Their pump uses a G-Rotor gear type pump to move the fuel. Our DW300 pump uses a turbine impeller, much like the late model OEMs. The data for the graph was collected at 13.5v. I have one in my Miata, and I cannot hear it. :) |
If I run out of fuel on the 255HP you'll be hearing from me. My HP is LOUD

Anyone know if this new pump will overwhelm a 99/00 factory FPR at idle?
|
Will there be a style that can be mounted externally, in-line?
|
Looks like another thing to add to the list......
Getting real tired of listening to the Walbro. It actually changes pitch with the turn signals! |

Not enough that it's not drivable, but I got down to about 250 miles/tank. Runs great on E20, though. :D

Sounds like a series resistor during low fuel demand is in order.
You can put a relay to short said resistor during periods of high fuel demand. |
Cool, Jason.
Thanks for the tip. ...or we could just do some upgrades to our cars where we don't need the stock regulator any more. :) |

It would be cool to have say, the 8V and 10V pressure/flow curves so we can judge what resistor would work and what the switchover should be.
Or 12v for typical voltage drop :) |
saw this over at Turbobuick too ,since i have a miata & buick.Looks like i`ll be runnin your pump in both soon .Keep us posted on ALL forums about the release date and some results after installs.
|
Will do, we've sent out almost 100 pumps across our dealer/installer network. We've had a few reports come in, and many of the timelines for the builds are coming up soon. I'll probably have a busy week, next week.

Just giving you guys a heads up, we are expecting to have a these in quantity later this week.
Let me know if anyone is needing a pump for a build and I should be able to get you to one of our dealers that has them ready to ship. |
This was faster than expected, but we have our DW301 in-stock and ready to ship!
|
My fuel pump just died so I'll be giving you guys a call in the morning. You have a drop in fitment for a 99, right? I understand that it will max out the FPR at idle, I'll just tune around it.
|
ASX, did you get everything taken care of?
|
whats the differance between the 1990-93 pump and the 94-97? I thought all the NA's installations were the same.
Bob |
In for interested |
Bob,
The 90-93 uses a seal and an oring to connect the pump to the sending unit, and the 94+ use a hose with barbed fittings on the pump and sending unit. There might be some other slight differences, but I've only had personal experience installing one of our pumps in my 10AE. |
In and running! I'll have to retune some to fix where autotune compensated for the dying stock pump and then life will be good.

My current pump was a larger Denso Supra unit but everything was modified and custimized to make it fit. I think the fact the sock pickup was slightly offset from where the stock position was might have been contribuiting to my annoying fuel starve issues while hard cornering on 275 Hoosiers. Bob |

So will it work on a 93 chassis? or what needs to be done to make it work. I will be ordering one soon.

I want this. Bob let us know how this works out for you. I could also give a shit less about noise.
|
Jared, you crack me up. :P
Noise reduction is a bonus. ...plus it will help out when you are shooting your next round of vids. |
Hey guys/gals...
We have the Miata install kits available again for these. They took a hiatus and now they are back. |
The drop down box on the website doesn't have the miata kit part numbers. Are they available or do I need to order the universal kit?
|
They will be added to the website shortly.
89-93 : 9-301-0836 94-05 : 9-301-0848 If you would like to place an order before we get the website updated, feel free to give me a call! 405.217.0699 |
