01 cobra @ 2:30am...
 

I was on the way back from my buddies house the other night and was just driving the speed limit. I pull up to a red light and see a nice 01 cobra next to me, two dudes in the car. I looked over for a sec and then when the light turned green I pulled away slowly. In 2nd gear I decided to hammer and I got all sideways....then we pulled up to the next red light. I must have gotten their attention because they kinda gave me a little look like "wtf was that mate". So when this light turns green I let them get ahead a little bit and just keep giving them BOV until they just dropped the hammer. I was in 4th gear @ 3700rpm and just mashed the gas...By the time I was at 6000rpm they were 4 cars behind... I didnt even downshift, I just mashed the gas, so much for turbo lag right;) Just wanted you guys to know, thought you would like to hear about mustangs getting straight rolled. I was on 10psi too, it could have been much worse:gay:

They probably assumed you had a V8 swap :)

yanno...thats the reason I want to turbo my car...all these guys in GTs w/ pipes who think they are fast....mustakes. :)

HAHA nice Andy. A guy the other day in a firebird tried to race me. Automatic I believe and a v6 on top of that( i know it isn't a worthy opponent but with his attitude I just had to shut him down). He had his shades on even though it was pretty over cast... you know trying to get the cool look. Looked over at me at a red light and laughed. Light turned green and he took off quick. I gave him about 3 cars length before I hit it. Flew by him and when he got up next to me at the other light he wouldn't look over even though I was waving to him. Pretty funny stuff

Yeh those gt's really have nothing anywhere.... little bit if slicked down and gear'd but that's only good till they fall on their face in 3rd.. Buddy has been beating on this chicks 01 gt and it really is so unimpressive being the muscle car that it is. Just make ya upset when it can't even spin 2nd...

I havent....we play Wii Sports almost all the time. We love us some Wii Bowling and the golf can also be very challenging. If we get all wii'ed out then we do a little 4 player ncaa 07, fucking fun game w/ 4 people.:)

good god :eek5: I can get the 3.6 delivered for $400, thanks to a friend in NZ. Just not high enough on the list right now.

I have pulled an 03 cobra that had a smaller pulley, full exhaust, intake, and drag radials before. Got him by 2 cars, this was last summer so Im actually faster now:) that was on 16psi though, this 01 cobra got pulled and I was only running 10psi.

whats wrong with the 4.10....I personally love the 4.10's for the shorter gears.

It's 5th- I much rather cruise at 3500rpm than 4100rpm. I appreciate the rest for acceleration, but whatever acceleration was lost with the 3.6 would be negligible to me.

i concur, it would be nice to cruise at a lower rpm in 5th gear.

Yes. Ideally I'd add a 6th gear overdrive.

Couple things..

The manifold is only 319 till the end of the month.. Pretty sweet deal considering is gonna be 400ish to get a new victorx and do a custom fab job like rm does and charges 550... least this would be a bolt sorta afair as I don't have a stock rail and such so maybe a little easier for me.. Personally hate the big scripting on the top so maybe file that down and recoat.. Dunno yet... but price is solid.. And looks worthy... so ill prolly go that route since its almost half then buying the rm piece..

Talking to the lady at begi she answered and said she thought the throttle body they had to bolt onto it was a 70 73 02 75mm.. Hopefully that is true.. Don't know if it has the iac stuff or not. Looks like it has some plug on the side... and she quoted me 130 bux for it.. Polished... sounds like a steal as well.. Have you heard of this at all? Won't work or what? 450 for both seems like a steal for the flow and a decently bolt in affair..

I have a link now so a little differently as you running the stock ecu and stuff.. I think ill be swapping to aem or something equivelent soon that'll be able to really run any type of tb or anything for that matter...

Don't really know what I'm asking but curious about the power gains and I have a week before giving a deposit.. But 450 for mani/tb combo if it is indeed 70mm and bolts up sounds so good right now...

i have 4.30 vlsd,and i cant take it anymore.at 70 im at 4000 rpm,its horrible was looking at getting the torsen,but looked at ebay and the rx7 diff are cheap.

Lol yea it is slow, but how he was acting and stuff I just had to. A Srt-4 tried to race me the other day on the way to work. It was really wet and 3rd was just spinning at like 65 :eek5:
