Default 1.6 return line

I've been piecing together a turbo kit and plan on drilling and taping the pan exactly under the manifold. A little behind the a/c. My question is would a 12" ss line with one straight end and one 45 degree end be long enough? What length hose for return are you guys running? Thanks

You can always try a measuring tape...

Or a piece of string with a measuring tape...

String is underrated in turbo builds.
