Default 2.5 inch 1.6 NA "downpipe"

Is there a company, without getting too custom, that makes a turbo sized replacement for the NA downpipe? I'm talking about the second half of the header on the stock miata. I've had a hard time searching because I'm not sure what else to call this. I have my stock piece bolted to the Greddy turbo downpipe. But it is rusted to the stock cat, which I want to eliminate, and the two bolts on the back half of the cat are buggered and don't bolt to my cat-back exhaust very well, creating a huge exhaust leak.

My catback is 2.5 inch Racing Beat so I'm trying to avoid purchasing any pieces I don't need. Also I'm a year away from my miata being emissions exempt so no need for the cat anymore.

I guess I'll need two pieces, the piece between the downpipe and the cat, and then a straight pipe for the cat. Can I get some "1.8" style pieces here? (I know the 1.8 uses a different cat right) so that I don't have to upgrade again when I go 1.8? Thanks for the help.

This one is cheap and I think what I need, but stock size:

Hmm yep exactly. Ouch on price. Guess I'll cobble something together for now. When I go 1.8 with a real turbo I'll invest in a quality downpipe.

Some random exhaust shop could make the part you're looking for for like 80 bucks. Its just 1 bend some flanges and a bit of straight pipe irrc.

After reading several threads about how terrible the stock greddy downpipe is maybe I will spring for the Begi. Too bad it doesn't eliminate the cat too.

I'm a cheap bastard too.

Anybody ever seen one of these?

OBX REPLACEMENT DOWNPIPE FOR MIATA MX5 DSM 4Bolts TURBO

Does it actually fit? Any good? The picture makes me nervous, flange doesn't look right and it also looks like a serious cheater bend. And, well, it's OBX.

OK, flame away, I asked for it.

Lol, funny you post that. I saw that the other day and was wondering if anyone has used this. So who's going to be the guinea pig and test this out for all the greddy owners out there?

edit: Also, I think its just the picture angle but the flange doesn't look too off when I compare it at the same angle to the stock one I have lying around.

When are we going to start banning established members for posting links to eBay hotside parts?

Well, its obx. So likely fitment will be hit or miss, welds will crack, and the steel will be from tatooine.

Yeah wow. It's so cheap I'm afraid to be the guinea pig. And also afraid to anger the MT.net gods.

He wasn't really mad. That's why there was . Besides, I've never bought anything from OBX, or even E-bay, for this car. But I've bought stuff from Andrew (all of which works quite well, BTW).

Just need to get over my cheapness. When I'm able to do so, I don't regret it.

Resurrecting this thread from the (possibly should have been) dead So... It looks like I've become the guinea pig.

It's an impressive looking, shiny pc of metal, but unfortunately, it doesn't line up with the output of the GReddy turbo. (TD04 15G?)... It seems to be a larger overall flange.
I was hoping it would be plug and play (oh, and it's fat, so you need to remove the manifold and all...
Perhaps the "DSM" reference in the ad suggests it's intended for those running a Mitsu turbo on the GReddy manifold? Unless there's a second 1.6L GReddy kit out there...

For now I'm going to cut off the flange from my Spare Greddy DownPipe and see how off the alignment is, perhaps I can fab something up to make them align...
Vendor offered me a refund if I just ship it back... but it's so shiny and pretty. (and seems reasonably fabricated.)
