Default 2010 Miata

Hey guys, I recently bought a 2010 Miata after my Jeep had died on me. I’ve been wanting a Miata for a while now and now that I finally have one I really want to turbo it. Sadly I don’t know enough about engines themselves to do much, nor do I know anyone that knows how to work on Miatas. I know the basics of mechanics just not enough to go throwing parts in my car. I want to turbo the car in the near future whenever I have the money setup, but I don’t know what to buy at all really. From what I’ve read 250 whp is enough to really have fun and that’s really what I want. I want to keep the budget around $2000-$3000. This is my first time ever doing anything like this to a car and just want some tips for certain parts. Anything will help thanks everyone.

Is it your only car? If so, the rule of thumb for cars is "Don't **** with thy daily".
