Default 94 Miata w/99 Head + Intake = which supercharger?

Someone is selling a 94 JR supercharger.
Will this fit my car?

What kind of exhaust system will go good with this? Is a turbo exhaust too loud?

Thanks

It should fit, the supercharger mounting points are on the block, not the head. As for exhaust, you would probably be best starting with a header designed for mild boost, then a 2.5" exhaust back to a muffler that isnt super restrictive would get you pretty good results.

The information previously provided is WRONG. The JR brackets mount to the head, and most likely will not fit if the kit is for a 94 and you have a 99 head swap.

Think about it.....the SC mounts over the header. The header mounts to.....the head! Where do you think the SC mounts?!?!?!?

the SC mounts to the head using the engine hoist point as well as a bracket off of two exhaust studs, if you bought it, you could probably just order or make the necessary brackets to mount it to your 99 head.

I didn't buy it yet. I had to find out if it would fit first. If the only thing it mounts on the head is the 2 studs I should be fine. The exhaust studs are in the same position on both years.

94-97 kit and 99 kits are pretty much the same. The only difference is the chassis. The 99 kit has provisions for the ABS brake lines.

So, for everyone out there with 94 miata with 99 heads just get the 94 kit.
The exhaust side is the same. The charger mounts on the head but the mounting points are the same. Just FYI.

I appreciate you sharing. would you happen to have any pics of your setup? I'm curious to see how a 99 head looks never researched. Also how difficult is the install?
