It looks like the Taco taco T25 for the 1.8 has hit the market... 94 05 Miata MX 5 1 8 Liter T2 T25 T28 Cast Turbo Charger Exhaust Manifold Kit | eBay

What is that plate deal? Also are these pretty decent as far as flowage? I might try one or build my own weld el log turd manifold.

Looks like a heat shield that would attach to the valve cover

I have both the t2 and t3 1.8 tacotaco manifolds in route to my house right now.

Shuiend if you could please let me know how the t25 tacotaco manifold fits and everything. Im looking to maybe get one in place of the fm one just until I have the money to get one and they are back in stock. Basically I'm thinking I can use tacotaco manifold, whatever t25 turbo and FM turbo outlet elbow and downpipe on my 99. I've had good luck with cast ebay manifolds in the past, just hoping it will work with the FM elbow and downpipe. Or maybe this knockoff FM elbow. Im sure it'll crack while installing it though.

That's cool. The manifold and heat shield pictured by fail wagon are the parts we built for our first Miata kit back in '90. We used them through about '96, then redesigned the system. "Cartech" was our biz name until about '93. Slightly on the crude side. No match for the A/O.

corky

I have bought and installed the t3 turbo manifold. It is a copy of an old FM manifold(I think). It did require some machining to make it fit properly:

I also had the mating surfaces done just in case it was warped.

I didn't use the studs that came with it since they looked weak/cheap. I also went through all of the threads with a tap just to make sure they were good. I've been tuning the car over the last couple of weeks, so far no problems.

I did also have to make a custom elbow to use the FM T25 down pipe.
