Hey everyone,

I'm in the process of bringing my '97 back to life and I'd like to upgrade the turbo half of my setup. I've got a "small" T3/T4 and I'm thinking about a GT30-something? Do any of you big turbo guys on the list live anywhere near Portland Oregon?

You don't happen to be affiliated at all with PREracing do you?

I'm down in Eugene but the car won't be boosted for another couple months.

Not too many turbo'd around here? Well, at least you guys have cars that are running. Mine has a hole where the engine should be. The plan is to get a motor in there by Jan 1. If any of you are going the GT route, let me know.

Sam, I don't know anything about "PREracing"? Are they some sort of go-fast local shop?

PRE is a local Subaru shop. Someone who works there posted up on CR.net about some fairly unbelievable horsepower figures and got shouted down.

If you are interested I try to put together local meets. I usually organise them in the Northwest forum over at Clubroadster.net. We actually got five people out last time!

Thanks, please feel free to shoot me an email on local gatherings I've been out of the miata scene for too long and need to get back into it. Poor car has been sitting for a year! I'll keep an eye out on club roadster too.

Sounds like PRE should be avoided? I have a bone stock Legacy GT Wagon that's pretty mean as is. If I ever do anything to it I'll take it over to PDX Tuning in Lake Oswego. They appear to have a pretty good rep.

I have some Subaru connections if you ever need work done, BTW. For some reason Subies are 10x more popular here than EVOs.
