Question Anyone have any experience with the Turbo XS blow off valves?

Just wondering if anyone has used one of these. I'm a fan of the swooshing sound thats made from blow off valves that vent into the atmosphere. I know. I didnt know whom else to ask, but the guru's here. Thanks in advance.

I don't know if it helps but I have an ebay type knock-off of the RFL, and it is really ******* loud. Like God sneezing under the hood.

It sure does. I have found that if I run it without the horn it is much nicer. Similar sound just not quite as loud.

Whistle? You mean a little bit as it is closing or all the time?

I think a search of Turbo XS on this site will yield info from prior discussions.

I had a TurboXS (type H IIRC) on my MSP, worked well.

I had the RFL (real f-n loud) and it held true to it's title. It was well made and you could stack washers on the spring if you needed it to hold more boost. The sound was cool when you wanted to make some noise, but over time it can wear on you. Every time you close the throttle even a little woosh.. I imagine the type H would be better though.

I have the Type H, I need to adjust it but haven't bothered yet. Letting off at part throttle often causes surge.

Every time it blows off its followed by a whistle sound. If I lef off from light part throttle, it'll just whistle and not even whoosh. I'm going to try removing the horn today and see if it helps. This BOV sure is real ****** loud but you cannot argue with the quality for "cheap ebay ****".

I had to take some of the rubber seals out of mine because it would bind up and cause surge. I also have to take it apart and clean it regularly, which is a pain. Not too bad though.

I like mine.

I wouldnt trade it for anything. Rolling up on riced out civics and blowing off is gold because they know right away racing is a lost cause.
