ARTech GReddy Manifold

I looked at all the alternatives (ETD etc), then saw ARTech's work.. so asked him to make me a GReddy manifold.

Progress so far :

slutz4 02-25-2010 08:34 AM

looks good! Im sure you wont be disappointed.

rbluemx6 02-25-2010 08:44 AM

Seeing that makes me very anxious to put in my order for a t3 log mani and 3" down pipe. I gotta get my TECII in quick, I am slacking too much.

hustler 02-25-2010 08:48 AM

no ABSURDFLOW, no care.

miatamania 02-25-2010 09:57 AM

Yeah that is pretty pimp.

Just wait until you have it in your possession dude. :bigtu:

Are you currently running a greddy manifold? It would be cool to see someone with a greddy manifold switch over to a ARTech replacement and have some before and after dyno numbers.

Once it gets warmer here I plan on going back to the dyno for a sesh.

aphongt 02-25-2010 10:55 AM

Damn. These look soo nice.. and dyno numbers comparing to the other makes would be very cool indeed..

Stevo11 02-25-2010 11:07 AM

hmmm.. won't get to the dyno before fitting.. I have a link ECU so can do before + after power runs instead (I've upgraded DP, injectors and WB02 since last dyno visit anywho).

We used to have back to back numbers / dyno with our ETD Racing Greddy Manifold which this basically looks like a copy of. I will have to search for them as we started producing this product 4+ years ago.

IIRC we picked up about 7-8hp over the stock Greddy Manifold.

We also made a Stainless version, but let's just say we scraped it during testing stages an went with our current version.

his shit always looks beautiful. bravo.

Is that a water-jet flange? Are they available as stand-alone parts for 1.8 and 1.6? I've been contemplating getting that done, and it only makes sense if I do a bunch. Not sure I want to be in the DIY MT parts business just yet.

Thanks

Did you achieve 100% penetration, and was it backpurged?

Here's a pic of a ETD KA manifold I found online:

From the 2nd pic, it seems like the welds do not penetrate the pipe on the middle two runners. I don't know how old this manifold is, but if the SS manifold you experimented with 4+ years ago was welded the same way, that would be the reason.

Solar, I'm pretty sure the flanges are laser cut. I PM'd you their contact info (Weir Technologies)

Abe,
I may pay you a visit this weekend. I'll call first, of course. I need some #10 fittings on my oil-cooler.

I got some cheap 1.8 flanges I'm getting rid of.

ARTech,

Do you have jigs/a local resource to make a DP for the Greddy set up? I've considered buying the Begi, however, I'd prefer a flex pipe over the 2 piece design they produce.

Nice welds BTW.

nice jigging! And I thought our FSAE manifold looked nice haha.

mekaw 03-03-2010 02:06 AM

whats the cost ?

Do flanges need relief cuts? Just curious why some people have them and some don't.

Someone needs to take their NB to Abe so he can make a jig. I really want him to have my money.

Only cast manifolds need relief cuts in the flange so they dont crack.
