Its one of Ebay, other than that im afriend i dont know, is there anything you perticually want to know?

Mount it either on your IC endtank or on a charge pipe after IC. Use a vacuum line off the intake manifold for boost signal.

Read post #8...actually read it all.

i read the big diy post, it was very helpful,
as far as i can make out without the bov attachment which stops leak at idel its not realy worth having a bov unless your running over 6psi? am i right?
ill only be running 6psi on the begi s kit as ill be using the begi fmu untill i manage to get an MS.
The BOV i have is a one off ebay:
is it worth fitting it? shall i buy the attachment recomended to vent to atmosphere without upgraded ecu or shall i fit it as it is?

That is the exact bov that i bought and i have it on my begi-s without intercooler. You can get it to work without recirculating it. Just be ready to take it off several times. I had to add a few shims to get the right amount of hold pressure at idle.

realy, thats handy someone else who has it.
being from england i dont know what you mean by shims, could yo uplease translate for my simple minded english please.
do yo uhave any pictures and how did you install it?

seraph 08-29-2009 05:15 PM

I don't have any pics but i may be able to take some today. Shims is the term for metal disks that were place on top of the holding spring to add more pressure.

oh i got you, i guess its what we would call washers.
how many did yo uend up using?
if you have pictures that would be great i just need ot know how to rig it up and where each hose goes etc.

What are you running for engine management?

VTA BOV + MAF = runs like crap

I tried it for a while, didn't realize hoe bad it was 'till I recirculated. Ran like crap for sure.

Looking back now on how many times i've taken the bov off to adjust it i would recommend recirculating it also. I'll take some pics but as far as driveability mine runs flawless vta, perfect idle, good afr's, and cool sound. it just takes time, patience, and several times taking it off to adjust the spring.

You can still hear the sound if you recirculate it.

i found some pics.

thanks for the pictures, did you still have the washers in place when you recirculated it?

Can you please tell me how to recirculate it, as i cant seem to find instructions on how to fit it?

To make it easier, I would just buy a TurboSmart recirculating diverter valve. It won't screw up your air mixture, you can still here it working, and they're not that expensive.

well the easiest way to recirculate the bov that you have is to replace the red bell with some type of pipe that will thread into it. Then run some heater hose form autozone from the bov to a spot on the intake in between the turbo and your maf. You will have to drill the spot out and weld another small tube up to the hole. Then attach the hose between the two.

If you recirculate don't use the extra washers, just keep it as it came.

You can find a recirculation adapter for the bov on ebay. Its called greddy type rs recirculation adapter.

once iv linked the bell with a pipe between the turbo and the MAF, where do i connect the other 2 take offs from the BOV?

seraph 08-30-2009 01:41 PM

The way you install your bov can easily be searched, there are alot of people who have pics for any application.

A general rule of installation:

BOV mounts after intercooler(either on it or on pipe after)

metal tube extending from back of bov is the signal line(attach it to a spot on the intake manifold using a small line)

bov can be vta or recirc (just connect the output source of the bov to a spot in between the turbo and maf sensor if you recirc)

(You may need to drill a hole into the intake pipe between the turbo and maf in order to weld a small pipe to recirc the bov)
