Does anyone have any information about the Boomslang harness which supposedly allows 96-97 Miatas to use the 94-95 Link? I thought (perhaps mistakenly) that there were other reasons that the newer style Link was required with 96-97 Miatas (besides the harness, that is.) OBDII-related issues, maybe?

Any information you have about this conversion would be appreciated...thanks in advance.

No, just the wiring changes. Whilst FM had to change the board for the 1996-97 Miata, they decided to upgrade the board.

So there would be no problems with the purchase of an original (used) 94-95 Link on a 96-97 Miata so long as this harness were used?
