I'm searching for a low boost EFR 6255 setup. I wonder if anyone has done it yet. I'm curious to see what the numbers and spool look like.

Der_Idiot 05-09-2011 11:43 AM

I was looking at the 6758, I'm curious to know the spool on a 1.8 and what kind of power one would see at 20psi.. With this Absurdflow manifold. My only concern would be bracing, which looks like it would be a pain in the ass to figure out. :vash:

Edit- Fixed link

Id toss on that 6258 in a heartbeat. good for 44 lb/min and looks awesome on the above chart.

Fix'd. This one, though I'm not too keen on having to relocate my radiator hose :(

Begi has a re-locator pipe that is cheap.

That is the one. You should be able to just buy the outlet pipe for cheaper and then source hoses locally.

Mine came with my Begi kit years ago so I am not really sure what it cost.

TurboTim 05-09-2011 01:48 PM

Or Abe/ARtech will weld your OEM waterpump inlet pipe so you can flip it 180deg. and use it as-is, he does this for cheap. Then run a cheap radiator hose "t" if you are still doing a heater core.

Der_Idiot 05-09-2011 03:06 PM

Yeah, I would. Top down in the 40's is a little brisk, but I can handle it. :sad2:

Regardless, it's a huge tug-o-war over what kind of setup I will go with, el-cheapo GT3071 and leave everything else as-is, or muchacho 6758 twin scroll.

I've been wondering what boost levels I can push into this block without blowing it, I never really looked. I'd guess the head gasket would fail first..

Track whores with V band status are now approved for baller EFR take-off.

Oh that'd be sweet if it's interchangeable with tial turbines.

Thats what I am hoping for. Or at least close enough that I could possibly have you change my setup in the future to work with an EFR turbo.

Here is where the pictures came from.

I like how that treadstone housing is made out of ganache. Yummy.

dgmorr 06-21-2011 06:17 PM

I wonder if they will be making them with T2 vband inlets.

shlammed 06-22-2011 12:27 PM

The "T2" and "T3" footprints of TIAL are the same.
