Default Car louder with new BEGI SS DP?

I installed the BEGI SS Dp this weekend on my FMII and the car seems a lot louder at startup and idle. Anyone else experience this? It's not an exhaust leak sound. It just seem like everyting resonates a bit more. Maybe I'm just dreaming. I'll do some logs and tuning tomorrow.

On a side not, the DP is hitting somewhere. I can hear it ding when the engine torques. I know it's not the cat, as I have plenty of room and it's an FM high flow which is smaller than the stocker. I'll be removing that soon after my emissions.

A lot louder than what? What was your previous downpipe?

thinner walls are going to transmit more sound than cast walls.

and if it's "dinging" maybe it's resting on something and resonating?

My Tony downpipe rattles against the transmission under cornering. Sounds like a combination of a bell ringing and a giant washboard. I should probably rig something so I can attach it to the stock downpipe mounting point.

Previous DP wasn't cast. I think the only place where it touches only happens when the engine torques slightly. I'll have to get under it this weekend anyway to finish up some stuff.

Just get polyurethane exhaust hanger bushings.
